Easy to program
I love this microcar. I'm able to program it using either the makecode site, or by using the mind+ software. Each has it own advantages.And my 9 & 13 year old lads are getting into programming. Getting it to navigate around obstacles is a lot of fun.

Just misses excellence!
This review has been a bit in the making - when I originally ordered the item, the listing was a bit unclear and portions stated "Micro:bit included" and others said "NOT included". The seller has since clarified this on the listing. There is no Micro:bit included.In order for me to review the product however, the seller kindly sent a Micro:bit for me to carry out testing.I'm quite an experienced coder, so was interested to see what these new products marketed towards children were like to work with.Getting connected to Microsoft MakeCode was easy, and I was able to connect over USB without any issues. Unfortunately in the built-in extensions library, not all functions are available.I switched over to the recommended software called "Mind+". It's downloaded from a very Chinese website with quite a good English translation. After running the software through a virus scanner I proceeded with installation - which again was in Chinese until you switched it over.In some ways this software is more functional, and in other ways more limited. Using this coding environment I was able to utilise many more of the features on the car - however there seemed to be a limitation when using the Infrared function that you weren't able to continue using the code-block-UI and had to switch to real code.I then dug into the user manual, and there was a link to a GitHub repository. This repository seemed to contain examples for Microsoft MakeCode rather than the Mind+ software. I switched back over and was able to get a few more features to work. There were also .hex files included in this repository that you were able to import into Microsoft MakeCode.I think my biggest criticism is that if Children are intended to use this product, it's not *quite* user friendly enough to get them started with all functionality.The biggest positive is that everything seems to be pretty well made. Everything functioned on my board except one of the LEDs which is much dimmer than the others. I have no doubt that the seller would sort this out as they were very responsive.

Fun, Educational Toy
If you know someone who is interested in programming, micro electronics and engineering etc. but has limited experience, this would make a great gift.It comes with everything you need including a BBC microbit, ultrasonic sensor and an OLED display all of which makes it quite a good value in my opinion.You get access to clear and intuitive instructions with drag-and-drop programming making it accessible for most ages. Once together, it is fun and easy to control and is quite a cool little car. I would definitely recommend it.

Not what advertised
The media could not be loaded. The examples on github not working as they should. The other examples of software are in chinese and ask me to install some chinese software on my computer qality is poor as the remote battery is saying cr2025 but they forgot to cut our plastic in the middle too so it doesnt fit. After installation of github examples - remote controlled didnt work , Object avoidance - not avoiding anything just going straight. Light detections - same as previous not detecting anything. Voy a empezar con la unica pega, que para mi no lo es, y es que el manual viene en inglés.Pero quitando eso, que es bastante intuitivo, internet está lleno de proyectos con Microbit, y que es habitual que ya se sepa inglés en este mundillo, todo lo demás me parece genial.Y es que esta marca, para mi, ya tiene un renombre en este sector y la considero una de las de referencia. La olaca microbit de por si, ya es genial y tiene un mundo de posibilidades por si sola, que la hace ideal para iniciarse y hasta profundizar el el mundo de la electrónica, la robótica y la programación para niños y para cualquiera. Creeme que esto es una réplica a escala de lo que luego se usa en la industria. Y que el futuro de la programación, va a ser tan sencillo como esto, mediante bloques. En cualquier caso, ya es genial para entender la logica. Pero es que si ya le unes la posibilidad tan visual y llamativa de crear y controlar un robot con cierta autonomia, que ademas es un coche, capaz de detectar obstáculos y seguir una linea, entre otras muchas cosas y en unos pocos sencillos pasos, pues es que ya le das todo el propósito.Nosotros lo usamos para formentar en nuestra peque de 8 años el interés por todo esto. Y simplemente vernos a nosotros montarlo, ya le atrae. Y por supuesto le encanta a ella y a todos sus amigos. Es algo llamativo y sencillo. Todos queremos tener genios de mayores en casa, y hay que facilitarles herramientas como estas en casa. Sea cual sea su profesion, esto no le va a hacer daño, y puede despertar en él su curiosidad cientifica, o incluso artistica, porque aqui se puede usar mucho la imaginacion a la hora de programar por bloques y darle mas usos.Considero que está en precio, por 60 eur cuando solo la placa microbit te puede costar 35, y todo el coche, hat, sensores, etc, en esta presentacion tan premium y con manual, me parece mas que justo. Y luego compara las horas de sano entretenimiento que puedes tener con esto, y el aprendizaje.Asi que super recomendado.

S'initier facilement à la programmation

Ce kit est composé d'une carte microbit, d'un écran oled, d'un capteur à ultrason et d'un châssis motorisé avec des capteurs et des leds.La programmation se fait via un logiciel (ou via le navigateur) et permet de coder en assemblant des blocs ce qui est très didactique pour les plus jeunes. La forme des blocs diffèrent selon leur fonction et leur nature, pour s'assembler entre eux et créer le programmes.Pour débuter on peut commencer par des programmes simples de la carte microbit, puis une fois pris en main on peut l'installer sur le châssis pour profiter des capteurs et leds supplémentaires. Depuis le logiciel du fabricant, on rajoute les éléments supplémentaires comme les leds ou l'écran oled depuis les extensions et on accède à de nouveaux blocs à assembler pour la programmation. C'est bien indiquer sur la documentation qui est malheureusement qu'en anglais.Les possibilités sont énormes et la prise en main est facilité par la programmation en blocs qui rend cela très accessible pour les enfants.
