We have a senior dog who has bladder issues. I didn't want to ban her from snuggles on the bed, so I got this blanket for when she hops up to snuggle. She absolutely loves the blanket, I put it on her pillow on the floor at night and she claimed it for her own. And she's had a few accidents and it has not soaked through to the bed. She is a Scottish Terrier, so she's a larger small dog (doesn't have a lot of pee in her). I am very impressed with it. It's doing exactly what I want.My husband even ordered one as he loved how soft and fluffy it is (added benefit for when the dog goes to his side of the bed).The down side.. it is sooooooo difficult to wash.It really holds the water (I guess that's actually good, I mean, it is supposed to be waterproof). When I take it out of the washer it's still so soaked and heavy. Other things in the washer are holding a normal amount of water. And drying it is even worse, I ran it through the dryer for 3 hours to dry it. And one is outside on the clothesline still trying to dry after two hour in the dryer and hours out on the line.They seem to hold smells too. I can still smell urine on the one after washing and the 3 hours in the dryer.Would I recommend...? Yes. With caveats. They do keep liquids from soaking through, but the amount of time it takes to launder is a very big con.

I was surprised at how good the quality was, and the material is far nicer then I expected. It works perfectly.

I was skeptical about the waterproof aspect, but it is in fact waterproof! Even after letting “sit” for a bit. Pleasantly surprised by how soft it is as well.

Really impressed with the softness and it does the job. Got this for human use to reduce messes during adult play time
