These are NOT wide topped socks at all. As the label describes they are ordinary sized non elastic socks Nor are the colours as shown in the advertisement. Instead they are ugly beige, grey and ‘old man’ light and dark brown. Save your money and don’t go near these with a barge pole.

These socks are so soft they're like a second skin. Fantastic to wear - really comfortable. I bought them to keep my feet cool and dry in the summer which they did. Then discovered as the weather got chillier that they were also keeping my feet warm!!. Can't believe one pair of socks does both. I've bought another pack and can't recommend them enough. Don't think I'll ever buy any other type of sock again.

I thought I'd try these but for me were a waste of money. I wore the first pair and when putting them on I put my thumb through the fabric - even though I was handling them gently as they felt very thin and light. After wearing them for a few hours, the ankle started to sink under my heel, it was uncomfortable to wear this way. Despite pulling them up, they just slid down. I would not buy them again.

I've really tried but they are useless. Ok to cover bear feet indoors but no good with footwear (of any description).They just fall down my feet and come off my heels - ending up in a bunch in the arch of my foot when I wear with shoes/slippers/boots. I cannot take more than half a dozen steps before they are bunched in my shoes.

I bought these socks because my feet are huge from swelling. I was surprised when they came, to find out they are very thin like hosiery. I thought my toenails would pierce through them. They are not as loose as other knitted socks I bought recently, but they did barely fit over my ankles. They were very comfortable once on. I didn’t tear them, but only wore them one day so far. They are very soft and I did not notice them in my feet once I had my shoes on (not tight). I am hopefully they will work for me, the colours are very pretty.

amazingly soft socks. I have bought other brand black ankle socks for years and have ALWAYS cut through the elastic top with scissors as they are too tight for my ankles. NOW I have found these wonderful socks with a soft top that does not grip the leg, yet they do not fall down. I will be stocking up on these socks and I never need to look any further now for the perfect pair. I have to wear black socks at work under my trousers and never wear skirts so every day is black sock day. I recommend these 100 per cent. pleased customer here. not overpriced too.

These are not like any other bamboo socks I've ever owned, but then I suppose you get what you pay for? The fabric of the socks I received is made up of viscose and polyamide (see photo), rather than the listed fabric of '40% Bamboo Viscose, 40% Cotton, 20% Mixed Fibres'. Be warned.

I was always a bit sceptic about these type of socks thinking they would not stay up, but I must say these are lovely fine socks, in great material, beautiful colours, they are so soft too
