Purchased for grandson who is in the army. He really likes it. Good value.

Excellent Value
This is a well made, quality item. It has all of the features of a more expensive compass and is made of durable materials. There are angle and distance scales on the back of the case. While the lanyard and case are more than adequate for the occasional foray into the outdoors, it would be a good idea to use a heavier paracord for the lanyard, restich the case edging (all the way aound) with a synthetic, weatherproof thread and add a few stitches to the velcro closure to increase longevity and insure it doesn't come off the case. This item is definitely a great deal.
