Book damaged
Looking forward to reading this book but the back cover and last few pages appear to have been slashed with a Stanley knife when being unpacked from a box at the warehouse. Luckily it’s not a present for someone.

gripping adventure
This book was written by the leader of the all woman expedition. Their main challenge seemed to be the Sherpas, who did not always respect them and thought of themselves not as a support system but as climbers themselves who wanted to summit. And their manipulating of the women for extra money and equipment slowed down the 2 summit bids. This in my estimation led to the tragedy at the final summit push. The book was written with great attention to detail, allowing the reader to actually be there! A book I will enjoy reading again!

I really loved reading about this incredible adventure. The author is open about the different problems encountered mostly her doughts and fears.

Excellent and well written book for any sports enthusiast
GREAT book about mountain climbing, in particular women's expedition climbing and organization. Learn what Annapurna is all about and be astounded that this group summited.

Such a great story told with such talent.
Outstanding. I am an avid reader and this story and writer's style is pure enjoyment. Arlene Blum has a gift for telling a story. The story itself is fascinating. I will keep this book to read again and will seek out other books by Ms. Blum.
