Nice size. Though they don't use as instructions state ' it's a place incase 1 needs a nap or protection from a storm etc. One must check it often for spiders ' as they rule the garden & can be unkindly for our Butterfly. Recommend.Keep fresh Butterfly plant food in ' ck for insects on plant prior. Bees like the house which is Great. A cotton ball which was soaked in 1/2 cup water & 1tsp white sugar will help feed :Butterflies/Bees/Caterpillars/& Yes Ants. Just a helper idea.

This is a cute butterfly house and it appears to be well-made and sturdy. It has several places for butterflies to nest and possibly lay eggs. I went ahead and put a couple of sticks inside the main part, just in case they wanted a more natural option. I probably got this a little too late in the season for my area butterflies, as I don't see too many around now, but I will try anyway. The real issue (and why I dropped a star) is how I am going to hang it or place it where the butterflies can access it because it doesn't come with any hanging options, a pole, hole for a pole to attach to or anything. So, I'm at a bit of a loss until I can find a platform on a pole I guess. In the meantime, I am going to set it atop some cement blocks near some flowers and hope for the best.

My 11 yr old granddaughter loves to paint as well as Butterflys. I purchased paint for this house and let her to her thing. Turned out beautiful.

Not made for outside. Black mold within a week.

I should have read the reviews before buying this. But there is no hardware provided on this house. Now I have to go to the store to buy hardware. So no way to mount it or hang it.Not happy.
