I suffered a hernia and was concerned when my intestine kept popping out. There's always a risk of it strangulating and then becoming a serious problem instead of a nuisance. I was a little concerned that it was coming from the USA, but I needn't have worried. It arrived within a couple of days. All trusses are a bit of a contraption, and this was no different, but once you see how it fits, it can be put in place in a trice. Main benefit was peace of mind and I could get on with my work, pending an operation, which has now been done. One comment. If you get an inguinal hernia on one side, there's a high probability you'll get one on the other side at some stage, so order the double sided truss, not the single sided - and when you go in for your operation, ask the surgeon to check the other side and if weak, mesh it too. It adds about 20 mins to the op, but you don't have to return, which saves you and the NHS time and money. And I now have a second hand truss for sale. Only joking! ps I wore it over my underpants so that it didn't need washing so often. Downside is that the velcro picks up fluff off the pants, so if they're black, the truss looks mucky . Stick to white ones!
