Very good diode laser
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a laser that would cut 6mm(1/4") hardwood. This laser does the job and then some. Super easy to set up. The build quality is fantastic, heavy custom aluminum extrusion frame, linear rails in all directions and a good belt tensioning system. The air assist is good, but not great and I used my own set up. But stock AA is adequate to get the job done.In my photos, you'll see parts cut in 1/4" cherry and hard maple.I also purchased the extension rails to make this an 800mm machine in the Y direction. My review of this is on ACMER's website. The price of this machine makes it a heavy hitter. If you're on the fence, get this one.

Acmer P2 20 watt BEAST!
The media could not be loaded. I received my laser very quickly. Item was well packaged. Arrived with no damage to the box. I opened the box, and to my surprise it came fully assembled! I've had other lasers that had the daunting task of assembly. Not this. Its ready to go right out of the box! After doing my initial testing of the machine, I realized no adjustments were needed. They also included a nice material packet. It even had a test card from factory testing. I own 2 other brand lasers. This by far is the most impressive. Customer service is is good also. I had a question, and got a response the same day. Actually in a few hours. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. This is a great piece of equipment that will fit in well at my shop.

Works with Cricut - tips in review
While these are intended for use with laser engravers, I successfully I used them with the engraving tip on my Cricut Maker. Caveat: these are soft, and the Cricut engraving tip does leave some burrs. As a result, stacking 2 of these together in a wallet without a regular business card between will result in them scratching each other. Also, they are thin. I have included a picture of one that my toddler bent up, and you can also bend them while removing them from the mat if you work too roughly. To engrave these with my Cricut, used writing-style text set to engrave. For images, I found an engraving infill pattern on Design Space and used the Slice tool to get it to fill my pictures. I did have better luck shrinking the image to my preferred size after slicing - I’ve included one picture showing the full size engraving infill pattern for comparison. For engraving settings, I recommend using the lightest possible pressure. I haven’t experimented with custom settings very much, but I had good luck with Cricut aluminum and 40 gauge copper material profiles. If you find it easy to correctly hit a small target on your mat with your Cricut, good for you. If not, I recommend either hacking the print-and-cut feature or sacrificing a piece of cardstock:First, set CDS to metric units and make a rectangle exactly 5.4 cm X 8.6 cm. This is the precise size of the cards. Set it to cut and attach your engraving design elements to it. Make sure it will fall within your cardstock when you are laying out the mat. Select 40 ga copper as your material.Cut the rectangle, remove it from the rest of the cardstock, and put the aluminum business card in the hole to engrave it.If CDS decides to engrave first, you may have to put in the engraving tip, start and immediately pause the operation, then remove the tip to do an “air” engraving. Then you can cut the window out for the card. To run the engraving step again, DON’T unload the mat; just push the Cricut button one more time and it will re-engrave in exactly the same spot.If you have trouble with a business card moving during engraving, just apply some glue runner or tape the edges down.

Great Sturdy Laser Engraver, works really well, with some caveats.
Unboxed this and had it running in less than 10 minutes. It's a solid mechanical product that will last for years, or the life of the laser module. My only issue is setting the "Z" height is hokey, the Laser is mounted on a flimsy "V" block that you raise manually, and they use a small metal flip down spacer to set the focus. That part is hokey, after you 'set' the height the module drops noticeably as you tighten up the hold screw. There should be a far more mechanically tight mechanism or the laser is never fully in focus. So far I've only cut 8mm ply with it and that seemed about it's capacity, even though Acmer advertises it will cut 12mm ply. The included Air Assist is wimpy but does work, I'm replacing it with an Airbrush compressor with much more PSI and air flow. I love the fact that Acmer will sell various laser modules including a 1084nm one for engraving metals. Overall very happy at the $799 price but don't think it's worth their full retail price because of the hokey Z mechanism.

Good materials for more uses than just laser engravers
I got the engraveable business cards, not to use with a laser engraver, but to use them with a handheld engraving pen. The business cards are very sturdy, they do not bend easy, and they take a little bit of effort to be able to engrave them with the engraving pen. They are not solid colors, the color is only on the surface of the card, but once you engrave them, the silver shows through. I’m sure these would look way better when used in a laser engraver, but I wanted to try them out anyways. I’d recommend them.

Business card set is a win!
Definitely love engraving business cards with my fiber laser! Sort out by color or sell them as “mixed packs” and shuffle them together! - Hands down great sellers in any shop and these have great color and engrave clean! (Don’t overpower!) - 10/10

Thin but not sharp
These would make beautiful business cards to give to that special client. Easily laser engraved or even scratch engraved with a Cricut or similar machine. I used it in my Aura laser to make a tag to attach to the back of a guitar I am giving to my grandnephew for Christmas. It is a nice thin thickness that won't be a problem mounted on his guitar. These are perfect for business cards or anything else you wish to use them for.

Nice to work with
As you can see from the picture, I made 2 ornaments so far. And I plan to make more. The surface is nice and smooth, glue or 2-sided adhesives work good. Size is nice as well as thickness. Sturdy and easy to work with. Happy with this choice and the outcome of my project.
