Hover-1H1 Electric Self Balancing Hoverboard with 9 mph Max Speed, Dual 200W Motors, 9 Mile Range, and 6.5” Wheels Self Balancing Scooter

Usually don’t write reviews but....the H1 is worthy of my time. I’m sure any kid would love this hoverboard. That said, I’m a 60-year old who bought the H1 for myself; they look fun and figured I should give it a try while I’m still young (LOL). I absolutely love the H1. Surprisingly, there is not much of a learning curve - the technology is that good! It took only a few minutes to understand the balance concept and to gain the confidence that you’re not going to fall. The H1 is remarkably intuitive, responsive, and worked flawlessly out of the box. Everything operates just as the product description says. Honestly, I don’t care about the color changeable LED’s or Bluetooth speaker. I would gladly trade them in for an onboard cigar lighter. The Bluetooth smartphone feature works great (I’m using an iPhone). I’m on beginner setting, but looking forward to advanced mode, someday. For the price, I don’t see how this isn’t a great buy for a kid, adult, or senior looking to have some fun with a high tech toy. As an added bonus, my dog enjoys chasing the H1 (truth be told, I chase him). The technology and design is amazing!! The only advice is please do read and understand the manual with regard to the proper way to charge; the battery charger does get hot. I can only hope to live long enough to own the flying version of this board.

I ordered this for my 4 year old grandson for his birthday present. He had ridden one a friend owned and he really wanted his own. He was so excited when it arrived he almost couldn't contain himself. It came with a full charge and he was able to ride it right out of the box, so Mom let him give it a go inside before she set up the blue tooth apps on her phone. After he had spun it around the carpet a few times, she set out to download apps. It turns out there are 2 apps to download, not just one. One controls the lights and music while the other is the mode settings for beginner, intermediate and advanced. These were fairly easy to set up once she realized there were 2 separate apps and not just the one. It wasn't long before he was riding around like a pro. He wears his bike helmet for safety outside. The different modes max out the speed it can go so he rides in beginner mode which tops out at about 4-4.5 mph. His older brother rode it in advanced and got it up to 10.7 mph so it is possible to get it going faster than the 9 mph listed on the box, tho not prudent to go any faster than you are comfortable going. My oldest grandson face-planted after trying to slow down from his little zoomfest ... good thing he knew how to Parkour roll and didn't break anything!The music plays loud enough that I could hear it via video chat while watching him ride and the different light configurations and schemes are a fun addition. The charge lasts a good long time. My grandson can ride and ride and ride and it is almost attached to him now. He even rides it around the house from room to room and stands on it rocking back and forth in front of the TV when watching his favorite shows. If you're going to go from outdoor riding to indoors, you might want to clean the tires though. They will track outside dirt onto a carpet. Also, outdoors, be careful going over bumps like uneven sidewalks and low curbs. Those can knock you down but it handles uphills and most terrain with ease. No bog or lag or strain on the board. My oldest grandson requested one of his own for Christmas so, of course, I ordered a second one in a different color for him. Shhh, don't tell! ;) Even my daughter was impressed with it and keeps hinting she wants one of her own, but she will have to pay for that herself! LOL I highly recommend this hoverboard (or as my 4 y/o grandson calls it, his PUFFERboard) to anyone looking for a good vehicle at a decent price.

Stay away from Hover-1 hoverboards because of their bad quality. My nephew had an H1 model that he loved and then it stopped working after a few years. In Jan 2023, I bought a new Hover-1 Ranger. Had this for 2 or 3 weeks and it stopped working. Contacted Amazon/Hover-1 and they sent a replacement but I had to cut the wires to make sure it was not usable. Looks like one of the wires inside the machine had gotten pinched which cut the wire and stopped the machine from working.The replacement Ranger hoverboard arrived and within 4 weeks this board did not turn on anymore. Reached out to Hover-1 and they did not provide a new replacement so I was out of luck.I decided to buy a new H1 model recently for his birthday, because that is what he had previously and it lasted a long time. After 2 months of having this new hoverboard, one of the wheels broke and the hoverboard's one wheel is now angled and leaning.Trying to do a warranty claim now, but stay away from Hover-1. In the last year I have had 3 brand new Hover-1 hoverboards and they have all broke within 2 months of having them. Very disappointed with the quality of their products.

great hoverboard easy to use.

We would have liked to give a positive review - at first my granddaughter was thrilled with the hoverboard. It was easy to activate, learn to use, and both attractive and sturdy. It was a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it, given the company's reputation and the product quality. However, after fairly light use (especially over the winter), it will no longer charge. (Although the charger lights turn from red to green, the unit won't run for longer than 5 minutes). We understood that the warranty was 90 days, but were hopeful that the company would help us, minimally, troubleshoot the issue. For the investment, we expected better than 9 months of operation! The company was NOT helpful in the least. We won't buy from them again.

Our son is 6 and he absolutely loves his hoverboard. We love that it has fun colors, that it helps him to self balance when he first gets up, that you can change the lighting and that it connects to an app where you can track the battery life, change the mode (beginner, expert, etc) to control the speed, and play music.

My daughter needed a new hoverboard. She likes the color, it connects via bluetooth easily to her phone, the lights, and it's easy to use!
