Been using daily for 4+ weeks
Iv been using this outside daily while working on my garage . I tied a bug ball in a bag onto a plastic thing that hangs the ball in Front of the air being blown so it smells like the bug ball and it keeps the mosquitoes away better then anything else . I turn it up all the way to get as much wind as possible so it is more effective . Assembly was pretty easy once I figured out the magnetic feet have grooves that fit into a fin slot so it won’t just slide on the bottom it it isn’t put on correctly . The magnetic feet are neat ! The remote is handy too . I’m not sure if the fan rotates or not , if it does I have not figured out how to do it but that’s ok . It’s by far the best way Iv found to stay cool and bug free when working on cleaning out my garage . I do t let the citronella bug balls touch the plastic fan parts so it won’t mess it up . I use it standing up right now but I love that it can be used laying down horizontally or vertically. I put it away inside when I go in for the night . I can’t imagine working outside without it . The mosquitoes here are humming bird sized and wearing bug spray has no impact on the mosquitoes. The wind from this amd the smell of the citronella bug balls being blown everywhere is the only reason I’m not covered in mosquito bites . I tried only using bug spray and it sucked . I thought it might be hard for mosquitoes to land with wind and this makes enough air flow to really mess up the local mosquitoes plans to feast on me . I got bit up really bad before I busted this bad boy out . It’s a love for me , I’d give it 10 stars if I could .

Should Help Keep My Dad Cool This Spring & Summer
A few years ago, my Dad had his carport enclosed. We installed a TV and he likes to sit in there and watch sports and CNBC, among other things. The people who built it didn't use much (if any) insulation in the walls. So in the winter, it's cold and in the summer it's hot in there. I got him an oil-filled heater to keep him warm. This "Sharper Image AXIS 32 Airbar Tower Fan with Remote Control" is just what I was looking for to cool him off in the spring & summer. I've always liked the Sharper Image name because they seem to be well-designed and quality products. I had it sent directly to him and I'll be visiting him soon to set it up while I'm there.I hope the remote will be useful since he's 94 now and shouldn't be jumping up and down just to change fan speeds. If it turns out that he doesn't like and use this fan, then I will update this review. In that event, I'll just get him an 18" pedestal fan like we use throughout our home during the warmer months.

Good space-saving fan...
We don't have AC in our house so we have to rely on a variety of fans in the summertime. This taller narrow style is a new one for us but it looks like it will be much easier to navigate around than our big box fan when it's in front of the doorway etc. As I said, this is a new style for me so I am glad they included a set of instructions that explained how to attach the legs to the body of the fan. Installing the legs turned out to be the hardest part, actually operating the fan was, well, a breeze. The 3 button system is simple and the buttons themselves respond to the slightest touch. The noise level is not too bad, though, as expected, it does increase as you turn up the airflow speed. This fan does not oscillate but the head pivots so you can aim it in the direction you want. While it only blows air through a narrow portion of the fan body, it moves a surprising amount of air that can be felt a number of feet away depending on the speed settings. So far this fan has worked out pretty well and the only fault that I've found is that the legs are a little less sturdy than I'd like them to be. However, that is not a make-or-break issue for me. This fan comes with a remote (batteries included) that has the same simple 3 buttons for operation. The remote is easy to use but it does have to be in direct line with the censor for it to work. So, my final thoughts are that this fan has already proven to be useful in several settings in my home and I consider it to have been a good pick for us...
