Had an old gasket and O-ring on my hot tub that kept leaking. This was easy to install and stopped the leaks!! Very happy

May hot tub kept blowing the 50 Amp gfci because the heat exchanger was leaking on the motor. I was told it would be $300 for a tech to come out and then would be billed $150 minimum 1 hour labor plus parts. I found this kit on Amazon for $17 and now my hot tub is back up and running.

Everything was installed according to instructions, but as soon as I turned on the hot tub, the screws gave way and failed. For future users, just make sure to hand tighten it butt he company sent a free replacement and also helped me when the replacement wasn’t working fully. Make sure to install it when the pumps are not running and have no pressure in them.Others say it’s good quality so I might’ve just got a defect and been unlucky the first time.

This product worked my crust did not burn. Very easy to use.

I have had a leak at the heater connection on my hot tub for a while as the PVC piping wasn't quite set right after a repair and it was putting enough strain on that connection to mess up the o-rings. It finally caused the original coupling to split which is what caused the leak. I bought this split coupling to make the installation easier and this time put the heat gun to the PVC and adjusted the piping for a better alignment. Installed a new o-ring and the split coupling. It's been holding now for quite a while with no sign of any problems whatsoever.Definitely would recommend this coupling as it is so much easier to install that to have to cut out and replace a section of PVC piping for the sake of a new one piece coupling.

I have purchased this repair kit with 2” split union nuts after I found out from my pool guy doing the maintenance, that one union is cracked on my 19’ swim spa with Gecko heater. He was going to charge me a lot of money to replace it and over a week to get the parts. I couldn’t wait that long as the spa was already filling with water.I’m thankful to Amazon and seller for having this parts available, with very good description and accurate dimensions, good value, also was fast delivered in 2 days.I have received this kit complete with qty. 2 split union nuts, qty. 2 silicone o-rings and qty. 4 screws. All parts, compared to my original nuts removed from the heater had identical dimensions, alignment and perfect internal threads to screw on the pipe line, no defects found.The installation was simple and straightforward, about 15 minutes job, I used a Philips screwdriver to hand tighten the screws on the split nuts and after I screwed on the union by hand it was not sufficient, there was a small drip and had to use a strap wrench (see posted picture of the tool) for about additional half turn and that successfully stoped the leak. A pipe wrench could be used as well but I didn’t want to risk cracking the union.Overall, very good quality kit, you can see my video posted with actual measured dimensions and installation and I liked that qty. 2 were included as I ended up replacing both unions at each end of the heater as the existing o-rings were over 10 years old and looked brittle. I've ordered other split nut only to return and then ordered this. It had fit perfectly and the locking each other is nice so you don't cross thread the nut.

Was a perfect fit and super easy to install. You just require a screwdriver tightened the big nuts by hand.
