I DO NOT USE THIS FOR NUTS! I use this for picking up spent brass casings at the range. Bought this specifically to try on our PD range which is pea gravel and it worked like a champ! Anyone who has used this type of device for picking up range brass knows they take a little finesse to get them to work and this one is no exception. What is exceptional is the value and build quality when compared to those specifically marketed toward the gun community. This one is just as versatile as the others with its adjustable handle but way better built. Used for 9mm but also picked up .45 and .223 stragglers on the range. Just what I was looking for!EDIT 9/18/23Was out for a carbine class and this was phenomenal picking up 5.56(.223) brass!!!

Just received today and put it together, very easy. Picked-up acorns like it should, love it. Yes it did pick up small rocks but I ran over them, no problem I took them out. Ran it over the lawn picked them right up, the ones in the rocks got most of them. Did a real good job, better than me bending down picking them up. There is an oak tree over back yard so has to be done 3 or 4 times a day to keep dog from eating them. Not having him sick or worse die from those acorns.

Ingenious and well made. This device isn’t going to magically sweep your lawn clean of acorns in a single pass but it’s better than a squirrel on a stick and doesn’t leave a mess like a squirrel would. Fun to use, collects acorns quite well and when used regularly, a good lawn maintenance tool. Don’t expect magic but a decent nut gathering tool.

I have an Oak tree in the back yard that drops thousands of acorns. This tool works great after I mowed the grass to expose the acorns.

It was very difficult to line the handle and fix it with the screws. Overall work very good. Pics up the acorns well.

we thought this would be a perfect gift for my father in law who has a lot of acorns but he says the sticks that fall along with the acorns get stuck in it so it doesn't roll.

I have a bumper crop of acorns this year and this device looked like a great idea. It will pick up some acorns if your grass is shaved very short and the ground is not soft. However, the acorn caps often get jammed between the wires creating a large gap through which all your acorns tumble out. I’m going back to raking them.
