PelicanM50 Micro Case - Waterproof Case (Dry Box, Field Box) for iPhone, GoPro, Camera, Camping, Fishing, Hiking, Kayak, Beach and More (Black)

It's amazing. I use it as a dry box in my backyard, it's survived multiple monsoons, and it hasn't failed yet. Amazing. Couldn't recommend enough.

This "Pelican M50 Micro Case" is a small (approx. 8 x 2.5 x 3 inches), waterproof (IP67), plastic case that is lightweight (just under 14 ounce) and perfect for keeping small items safe and dry. The bottom of the case is lined with afull sized rubber sheet and its interior space of approximately 75 cubic inches is perfect for any number of small electronic items, camera filters or other items which you want to keep safe and dry. The case, like other, larger, pelican cases even has a pressure release valve should the interior pressure increase.For my purposes, the Pelican M50 Micro Case is just right for carrying a number of different filters and/or quick release plates in a single, easy to access, location when roaming around taking photographs. Back home I can equally store pieces of equipment in a single centrally located place without having those pieces strewn around the area. Pelican cases are known for making some of the toughest cases out there, and this little guy is up to par.Super solid construction, and feels like it will last forever.The weather sealing looks and feels tough, and should keep your valuables dry no matter the weather (or if it goes overboard).Storage space is good for smaller cameras and gear, or other stuff that you want to protect.

Like the larger pelican cases, this one is just as sturdy and well-made, easy to use. This one is excellent at keeping smaller items contained and weather proofed and keeping items dry in wet conditions.

This Pelican M50 is a small case suited for small electronics such as mobile phones, batteries. external drives etc.. But not suited for the camera bodies I own such as the compact Canon EOS R100 or the Sony a6000. None of my other bodies fit in and I did not expect it either. The a6000 may fit if I remove the eyepiece but I don’t want to do that. You may be able to fit in a pancake lens but not sure if it makes sense to use this case for such a lens without a body. I knew it was going to be small but it looks much smaller in person. One of the product images showing the camera body and lens is misleading. The case is different, M60 and as seen in the images I uploaded, a similar small legacy Nikkor lens does not fit in this case.The case is well made, the latches look ok. I placed the case underwater for a few seconds and I did not see water seep into the case. I think we will probably use this case to place our mobile phones if they need to be protected from water. So, it will be used very rarely. I find the case pricey at $39.95.

I got this case to store and travel with my GoPro and other action cameras. I was able to fit three cameras in this case along with a few extra batteries. The one disappointing thing to me about this case is the fact that it doesn't come with pluck foam. I believe you can purchase the foam for this case separately from the Pelican site. Given the price point of the case, they should have included the foam. However, given that they're advertising this as a moisture-protective case for your everyday things, I could see why they didn't include the foam. Regardless, it wasn't too big of a deal for me to cut a custom protective foam for this. The case is very sturdy and handles a lot of drops and impacts with ease. I'm very happy with this case and if you don't care too much about having the pluck foam included, then I'm sure you would be very happy with the case as well.

Solid case composed of hard plastic with a tough but soft rubbery bottom. The version I received was transparent. I kind of wish the padding extended to the top of the case but I guess that would make it difficult to have a transparent case.I tested the waterproofing and confirmed it does keep water out (though my test procedure of holding it underwater in the sink probably wasn't as rigorous as IP67).I didn't do any drop tests for fear of scratching the case (or my floor) but it seems solid.There are holes to attach straps if desired, a place to mount a padlock, and a valve to relieve pressure inside the case without compromising the waterproofing.Overall a solid case. Maybe a little expensive, but high quality and plenty of attention to detail. Basically exactly what you'd expect from Pelican.
