OasePontec PondoPress Pond Filter Kit 15000

I bought this back in 2016 , and is still going fantastic….what a filter pump….I have it on 24 hrs a day all year round , even in winter…it’s never failed me or my fish , the water quality is amazing…..easy to clean , dismantle , the only thing that has needed replacing is the built in UV bulb which normally lasts 3 years….but that’s normal…..I strongly recommend this pump if u want peace of mind and reliability….. thanks oase….👍

Overall this is a great pump and filter combination. The filter has a UV light to keep algae at bay and the included media and sponge take care of solids.The pump is also fine and plenty powerful enough. My only criticism is that the supplied hose is of poor quality (see photo). The hose has perished in less than a year and has become brittle. This was a huge inconvenience as I'd buried the hose around the pond edge and placed cemented stones on top. So, whilst I do recommend this item I would strongly suggest you buy high quality hose to go with this.

I like the compact, all-in-one design. This system replaced two separate large filter boxes and a separate U/V filter which was very a large assembly and tiresome to clean. The Oase Pontec can be cleaned without dismantling, though the addition of a two-way union for a third (waste) hose makes this even easier. My pond, 8000 litres, is crystal clear. I would certainly recommend this product.

I had to put my own plugs on both items, but easy to install and clearing within a few days.

I bought this for my 1700 gallon fish pond which had become very green. The product certainly clears the water but took about a week to make improvement. Very pleased but wish I had gone one size bigger. Product is well made and the pump cleaner is brilliant albeit filter replacements are expensive but should not be needed for some time. My only surprise was that it required a protective "box" to shield it from the sun. Would buy again.

Just opened the box, this was supposed to be a replacement for a 6000 lph pump, but the physical size of the pump suggests that it is nowhere near large enough. On closer inspection I found that there is no UK 3 pin electrical plug fitted, which is a legal requirement. Once I looked inside the filter housing, I discovered that it was wet inside, as if it has been rinsed and refitted with new filters. The bio medium ( plastic ferrules) are suprisingly few in number, approximately 50. Just wondering if I should just return it as it looks to me like it could have been used, and get something that is legal in uk with fitted plugs

set up for pond filtration, all working fine, good flow and water is fairly clear after a couple of days.

I had to replace my old filter and the pump had just packed up. I was tired of cleaning it out by hand sometime twice a week, so bought one of these.What a revelation!!, I simply take pick up the feed to the pond and put it in a large plastic container, push the cleaning handle 10 or so times and wait until it clears up. I have only been using it over winter so the pond is usually pretty clear, but it is crystal clear so far. I am well impressed, will give it a proper take apart clean in spring. I can see that i will simply walk past the pond every other day in spring and summer and pump the handle to keep it clean all year, fantastic!
