When measuring do you add the additional space for the bracket? Window width including frame is approx 22” length is approx 65.5 frame is approx 1.5

Accepted Answer

The Lumino magnetic bracket holder, which holds the bracket, does not require additional space for width or length of the blind.  Please note: Magnetic brackets cannot be ceiling or inside mounted. They must be placed on a metal/magnetically receptive surface.

Question 2

Can these blinds be shortened? 64” is too short but could I shorten the 72”?  I think I need about 68+”

Yes, the blinds can be shortened.  Instructions on how to shorten the blinds are included in the instructions that are provided with the blinds.  They are also available, with video, on our Luminodecor website, under Customer Service.

Thanks   So if no additional inches is needed then 22 x 64 would fit my door?

The dimensions of your door are not visible in this message.

Height: The blind drop height is measured from the top of the headrail to the bottom of the bottom rail.  The magnetic brackets must be installed on a magnetically receptive surface.  If the frame of your door window is not magnetically receptive, the magnetic bracket will need to be installed above the frame, and that should be included in the height measurement.  The bracket is 2 inches high and the top of the headrail is about even with the top of the bracket.  If you also want to use the magnetic hold down brackets, they will need to be mounted on a magnetically receptive surface.  The hold down bracket is ½ inch high.

Width: Measure the width of the area you want to cover at the top, middle and bottom.  Ensure you have enough space to the left and right of the window opening so there are no light gaps.  Record the largest measurement, then add 0.5 inches.  This will account for the ½ inch deduction (see note below)

(Please note, all of our blinds are in compliance with the industry-standard 1/2 inch width deduction. Thus they will measure 1/2 inch less in width than what is ordered.  In Amazon this is noted in the first bullet point of the product page.)

Question 4

Will 22 x 64 fit door window that measures 22x65.5 from outside of frames and frame is 1.5" ??Sorry for all these questions

No worries, we are here to help.  A 22"W blind will have a Final Cut width = 21.5"W.  If 22"W is the width of the frame from outside left to outside right, then the blind will not cover 1/2 inch of the frame.   If the 65.5"H  in measurement is from the top of the window frame to the bottom of the window frame, then a 64"H blind with magnetic bracket will fall 3.5" above the bottom of the frame.  Is the 1.5 inches of frame included in the 22 x 65.5 measurement or in addition to it?  if it is in addition to it, then subtract another 1.5 inches from the numbers provided above.
