Amazing Child Montessori Mini Pestle and Mortar

I use this to crush small bits of stuff like eggshells works perfectly! And great at saving space.

I love this little mortar & pestle, it's tiny cute and works. It came packaged in a yellow Amazon bubble envelope and then was wrapped in thin bubble wrap. I was afraid it would be broken before I opened it, but thankfully it wasn't broken. It is smaller than the size of a regular sized tea bag, you can see that in the photos I provided. Each part of it fits inside of my hand {I'm a small female.} The bowl has a slight spout on one side to allow for pouring or scraping out contents. Then tip of the pestle and the inside of the mortar are slightly rough in texture to create a surface for grinding. The rest of the surface of both pieces is smooth and nicely finished. The bottom is stamped 'Porcelain'. It is a pretty little item, it doesn't look sloppy, cheap or have a look of being mass produced. I use it to crush pills for everyone in the family including my dog {fur child}. I'm careful not to drop it, I use it on a towel on a table so it won't accidentally drop on the floor. I store it in my glass door kitchen cabinet so it can be seen.

Just the right size, it works really well

Excellent for grinding small amounts of spices or herbs. Excellent quality, cleans up very easily with no residual odors from the spices/herbs, and stores well, taking up very little space.

I bought this for my dog pills, I really didn't want a big mortar and this was a fantastic solution. The pestle has the right weight to it to be able to crush pills or spices. I love it

My cat has a large tablet to take every day that has to be in powder form. It’s rather soft, but I used to pound it with the bottle it comes in which is tedious. My husband joked that I needed a mortar and pestle. All of the ones I found were large which I didn’t want just for one tablet. Then I saw this one. Its inexpensive, about the size of a baseball or smaller, and does a great job. I wouldn’t set out to make peanut butter with it, but I might use it for a few herbs. It is just what I need for a small job.

I've always wanted a mortar and pestle for my kitchen but never found one small enough to store easily until now. I bought this item for my daughter, who at 16 is already quite a competent cook. She wanted something for herbs and spices, and this little palm-sized set serves the purpose brilliantly! If you question whether you'd use a mortar and pestle yourself, think of how many times you've chopped up spices that have drawn a little moisture. In cases like that I've always used a knife or the handle of a spoon, which is very inconvenient. Never again: now I have the perfect tool!

This really is a tiny set BUT exactly what I was wanting!! I just needed something to crush up my dog's medication with, she finds it hidden inside her treats so the vet suggested I crush her meds up and mix it in with a spoonful of yogurt or wet dog food and see if that works and yay it did but I was using a hammer and ziploc bag at the time.... Annoying!! This will be a lot easier!! Plus this tiny thing is adorable so seeing it on the shelf with my fur babies medication will be nice to look at vrs the hammer haha!! Arrived with no troubles and a day early!! Very happy with this purchase!
