Very excited today! When I got the package I noticed that it was fairly heavy for such a small package. I unwrapped the plastic from the box its stored in and fell in love with its looks. This is not a toy or a kids knife. I say this because it comes razor sharp and this knife is fairly easy for you to slip and cut yourself if you are doing something tedious and long you can easily forget safety at times. The back side is plain and heavy sturdy metal. The pocket clip is great, and very tight. The knife came with a hole near the top front of the cleaver but it adds style and purpose. The wooden handle draws my attention while the Damascus steel helps draw more attention the design of the DS model. Both sides have a peg that you can push on to spring release the blade into a locked and open position. To close it theres a little paddle that pushes inwards to release the lock t safely close it make sure your hands are out of the way. It’s a decent EDC (Every Day Cary) $19 plus $5 in shipping is worth it with this knife. I don’t see anything that bothers me except for saftey and precautionary measures could have been added a bit better. Make sure you don’t open it by hand force it open fairly hard with the spring release. I found that if you open by hand the lock gives up and it starts to close. The blade and product comes clean and everything is held together tight. It surpassed the paper sharpness test with flying colors! Again this is the DS model and I approve of it’s design and quality!

The mechanism that holds the knife closed is extremely strong brand new, and there is simply no way that it will open up accidentally. The blade is large, both in width and in length, and comes very sharp. I purchased this as a gift, and it was a huge hit. Comes razor sharp, too, but the metal is decent enough that you can sharpen it even further if you have a good stone. Five stars, this should be your next knife purchase if you're a collector or if you're just looking for something awesome to carry around.

The other day I ordered this knife and asked for next day delivery; I had the package in my hand by 10:45 the next morning. I took it out of the box to make sure I got what I ordered, and boy did I ever! I opened it up and looked over the knife's safety features; it has a belt clasp and is held firmly in place when closed, and the locking mechanism is beautifully crafted into the handle rather than a separate piece attached to it afterward (the spring assist works like a charm as well). I was also surprised to find how sharp the blade is right out of the box, I was able to easily shave some hair off of my arm, and it cuts through boxes like butter. Great knife!

Very good knife with one exception. The knife opened while in my pocket without my knowledge causing me to cut two of my fingers. Because of this I will no longer carry it in my pocket or use the pocket clip. I have instead purchased a belt worn sheath to safely carry this knife. I put the final edge on this knife and it is extremely sharp. I would not recommend buying this knife with the intention of carrying it in your pocket and it could cause serious wounds to your hand or possibly even your thigh.

I've had this knife for 5 years and since have bought to more. They are well made and at the price are a perfect day in day out pocket knife.Quality metal that will hold an edge if properly sharpened and i have abused these slplitting tinder helping Boy Scouts etc. Highly recommend.

Shape of blade and blade decoration is very different from most folding knives, Knife is well made and assisted opening works very well. l am a collector and have a wide variety of over 100 folding knives and no 2 are alike. Quality of materials and construction of this knife rivals several of those that I have paid up to 4 times more for. This is a great product in many ways.

I like it. It's completely impractical for daily carry due to it's density, and the pattern is just a chemical etch on the damascus finish, but it's chonky in a pleasing way. If I had to do it again I'd probably opt for the plain finish. The wood also is only on one side of the knife, so it's half-classy looking.

Very surprised with this for the price. Design looks good and is built with quality, no movement from the blade or handle. Nice quality wood on the handle too. Came fairly sharp, and the blade opens up smoothly. If you like the design I would definitely recommend picking one up
