Malco Modes Cosette Luxury Chiffon Adult Petticoat Slip, Lace Trim, Adjustable, Halloween Costume, Vintage Style

This is a well made chiffon crinoline. It is truly a crinoline in that it is somewhat stiff to give fullness and not get compressed by a heavy skirt over it. I have some very soft chiffon petticoats that are crushed by a wool skirt.I replaced the waist band with a longer buttonhole elastic. The waistband it comes with is very stretchy but it did squeeze my waist in an unflattering way. When I tried wearing it down on my hips it looked fine but was too long for some of my dresses. My waist is 26 inches. I purchased a small which is for a 23- 42 inch waist. I was concerned that if I went to a medium there would be more gathered fabric than I want. It's very easy to switch out the elastic, so don't let the tight waist keep you from buying a Malco Modes crinoline. Keep in mind the length range too. I bought this to go with dresses that are at or just below the knee and not tea length. The Zoe crinoline was too short for me. Because the length is adjustable, I can have "tea length" crinoline that can be adjusted to wear with just above the knee to upper calf on a single purchase; very good value !

Love this petticoat! This is perfect for my fifties vintage dresses! The lace trim is soft and feminine. This petticoat is fluffy without looking like I'm headed to a square dance (not that there's anything wrong with square dances, it's just not the look I was going for).This petticoat has a vintage look without looking like a costume. I spend so much time sewing my dresses from vintage patterns, I don't want to ruin the look with a crinoline thats too poofy, or so scratchy I'm clawing at my legs. This petticoat is perfect! High-end look with comfortable softness!I love the ability to shorten or lengthen the petticoat using the different waist bands; they even included a wooden crochet-type hook to facilitate threading the elastic through the "tunnels". Not even vintage petticoats offer this option.

A nice moderate fullness, falls to the top of my calves (5'6"). The tulle is fairly soft, and the seams on the inmost layer face away from the body, so there's no chance of scratchiness.

I used the size chart w/ the waist measurement as my guide, and went to a size slightly over that number to be safe (a large). Still, it was too tight to breath. The elastic around the waist is adjustable - has a button and button holes under the fabric - but it was on the largest setting. I feel like I got a medium, or small, even though it was labeled as a large - or people think it should feel uber tight? My waist is smaller than the measurements given. Anyway, I bought all new elastic and will be redoing the waist band. There's plenty of fabric for a larger size. It'll work, but I shouldn't have to do that for this high price. (Seems far too much $ for the quality. It's fine, but more like a $25 crinoline, not $50.)*This review was hidden by Amazon due to sensitivity issues!? I looked for anything that was inappropriate, and found nothing. My review stands. It's my opinion of the product based on my experience. I wonder if the seller flagged it? Not cool.

This is by far the best petticoat I have ordered and I've tried a few now - worth the money in my opinion. It is very soft and not too poofy, yet it adds the perfect amount of subtle body to a full tea-length skirt. Buyers should know that it is very ivory, almost a light yellow/gold color. I'm pairing it with an off-white dress, so I'm still debating if I should order the white instead. It also seems to run a bit large compared to other petticoats, so I might order the white in a small for comparison sake. However, the gorgeous lace at the bottom is lighter in color, so I'm certain I can adjust the length (moveable elastic button for waist and length) to bring it up and show just the right amount of ivory detail if I choose to keep this one.

Looks amazing! I got the cosette style,which gives my skirts a little body without going overboard for office work wear. Really good quality, well constructed. Feeling adventurous, I put it through the washer on cold and the dryer on very low. Totally fine!

This is a high quality, carefully constructed slip. (American made! Yay)! It is not stiff or overly poofy. It is SOFT and VERY FULL-lots of fabric. If you lay it out, it's a full circle. It is EXACTLY as pictured, and what I wanted for my garden party, tea-length dress. The second and third tiers are double layered with a very nice 2 inch wide lace trim. It moves with plenty of swing. It was packed in a tight package, and quite time-consuming to iron, but the wrinkles came out easily on the lowest steam setting, and it was worth the effort.

These petticoats are very well made, and they are also very soft. The material is beautiful, and when you are spending a lot of money on a well made dress, you don't want a scratchy petticoat, which the cheaper ones are usually. I have both now, and I have since bought three Malco Modes petticoats, and will buy from them again, if I ever need another one. I also have the cheaper models, but have decided that the nicer petticoats are worth the money when spending hours in a dress. They sway better, they feel better, they make you feel more feminine, and they are just all around a nicer product. And bonus, they are made in the USA!

At first glance I thought it looked a bit cheap, but as soon as I put it on under a lagenlook dress, it was just amazing! It really transforms a bland outfit into something very special. I am very happy.
