DuralexLys Clear Dinner Plate 23,5 cm (9 1-4 in) Set Of 6

I love to look at fancy patterned dish ware, but the duralex glass tableware is what I want to use. No questions about lead in glazes, no chipping, everything stacks compactly on cupboard shelves. I have pieces that have survived the dishwasher for several years with no sign of scratching or dullness. I like to use colorfull placemats and napkins, which make a fun or seasonal look through the transparent dish ware.And at affordable prices! I haven’t managed to break a piece yet, but if I do, no heartbreak involved!

First time buying from this vendor. Because it's glass, there were a few that arrived with some deep imperfections that made me worried about microwaving or using in a dishwasher. Contact vendor with pictures and they are responsive. We were confident in buying other items from the same vendor. We like the clean look of the glass and low maintenance of it. No need to worry about utensil scratches on white plates. Also wanted to match an inherited set and this was the best deal and good quality. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Would definitely buy again!

So far, so awesome. I bought these after it came to my attention that nearly ALL ceramic, stoneware and porcelain dishware is made using lead, and can and will leach lead into your food in some amount. This was immediately after getting a beautiful, intricate set (Temptations Floral Lace in dark blue, for those of you familiar) so I was really disappointed. All US-sold products (even imported) must adhere to FDA's guidelines for lead levels, but still.. I'd much rather no toxic chemicals in any amount in my son's food, thank you.I started looking into glass dishes because they are not made with lead, cadmium, etc and I was still mourning the loss of my pretty dish set because well, glass just looked so plain in comparison. I looked at a bunch of brands andmany people said they broke or cracked easily, drops, pouring hot liquids, etc.Then I found these. I was hesitant because they were much more pricey, but I went with the 6 piece in Lys 6 3/4" stackable bowls, Lys 9 1/4" plates and Cosy 12oz coffee mugs to start, figuring it wasn't THAT much of an investment.Boy, am I glad I did! I can't say much for longevity yet, but durability, heck yes! Night #1 while doing initial washing, I dropped a plate in my stainless steel sink, cringing but realizing no break or cracks.. Good to go! Then I figured well if it was a porcelain sink, it may have been toast.We've been using the dishes for about a week now and in my clumsiness while making coffee with a melita dripper just now, I knocked two cups off our tile countertop onto our ceramic tile floor. They both hit the floor, clanked off each other, and did not break or crack! I'm sold.Also, the simplicity of the set is actually pretty nice. It lets your coffee or food be the focal point which is more enjoyable, much to my surprise. They're also much easier to clean than intricate sets with raised detailing. I'll stop gushing now, was just so impressed with the survival of the mugs' tumble!Buy these! They're worth the extra $$!

Dishes are great, they are just the right size too! Not too small and not too large. There is plenty of room for a serving of the various items in a meal. It seems that nowadays dinner plates are more the size of a large serving platter. These plates are not like that. They are much more size appropriate. The glass yhus far seems of good quality as well and not too thin. So far they are holding up with use of small children and being washed by a teenager at times. After receiving these, I feel comfortable to order another set and will be doing so, along with trying out the rest of the dish set. I usually like to try and include a photo, but the one used here is accurate and better than one I could take.**Update**Although I'm still pretty happy with this purchase, I did notice that two of the six plates actually warped after going through the dishwasher a few times. This happened around the rim of the plates. The listing indicates these are both microwave and dishwasher safe, but I don't think I'll be putting them through either again. The plates seem pretty sturdy, but I guess the heat from the dishwasher was a tad too much. We have a standard dishwasher, and none of our pyrex glass has had this problem, though admittedly those items are much thicker than your standard dinner plate.

I bought these glass plates to replace my stoneware plates that have cadmium and lead. I'm happy with my safe glass plates and with proper care they should last for years.

I became very concerned about lead and other carcinogens in the finishes of dinnerware after reading many reviews about production. That is why I chose Duralex Clear Glass dinnerware. It. is crafted to be resistant to chipping and cracking. This fits easily into my dishwasher and can be used in the microwave as well. My only wish is that is was sold in sets of 4 rather than 6, but I am very pleased with the quality and value of Duralex.

nach 5 jahren sind mir insgesammt nur 2 teller kaputt gegangen. einer ging kaputt weil meine katze ihn regelmaesig runterwarf. dauerte dafuer aber ne weile bis er kaputt ging und einer ging kaputt weil was schweres darauf fallen gelassen wurde. die andren 4 leben noch und werden taeglich benutzt!

Platos de buena calidad y a un precio razonable. Tengo los mismos de colores clásicos “heredados” y la única diferencia es que se les ha ocurrido cambiar las letras en relieve de la marca al interior del plato lo que me parece bastante poco acertado (he pensado incluso que podrían ser falsos pero comprobado en tienda física que así vienen ahora). Los volvería a comprar sin duda.

Have purchased these previously and found them good value. Unfortunately a few have met an untimely end after being dropped onto a tiled kitchen floor. LOTS of glass fragments to sweep up. However the plates are durable and useful for putting in the oven.
