Arrived well packaged. Simple assembly instructions. Did not take long to put together. Looks good. Sturdy. Easy to adjust height. Comfortable. Not a large internal storage area, but quite adequate for my requirements. Happy to recommend.

The packaging was good and the product requires very little assembly; no more that screwing on the legs.The legs are the first thing out of the box and may surprise in that they are extremely glossy. That may be perfect to match your piano. My synths and stands are matt/satin black so I'd have preferred this not to be 'mirror glossy', but that's just my setup.The frame and seat are all preassembled so no problems there, a spanner is supplied to add the legs and need tightening more than you may initially think to ensure all is then rigid. A little retightening - no problem. The instructions are perfectly adequate and include a nice message from the constructors, mentioning they have been going 22 years. This nice note may seem a small thing but really makes a difference.I made an easy mistake!! On lifting the frame from the packaging I was initially horrified to see the high gloss finish was all slightly scuffed - a closer look and careful scrape with a finger nail revealed this to just be a very thin protective film, clearly intended for removal but not mentioned in the assembly notes! Once removed the result is similarly glossy and blemish free..As to the seat itself, it is perfectly comfortable but personally I feel there are more convincing leather effect plastics on the market than this which would fool nobody. Perhaps without the button finish it would be less noticeable but as it is, if I had the skills, I think I'd recover it and might even enquire of a price at my local 'Zip Locker'. Elevation takes many turns of the wheels but they move easily and which move easily and once done the seat's stability seems unaffected and I feel confident the seat would not start to wind back down once seated, even after a lot of use.Elevating the seat reveals the frame beneath is unpainted on its inner faces. I think if I were the manufacturer, I'd consider painting that, but assume there is a manufacturing reason. I would probably end up staining it matt black if I felt need to raise the seat, but it is perfect for me in it lowered position so it is fine. The depth of the box dictates the seat is not as slim and light in the room, but on the flip side it is a truly useful depth, as I have not just been able to store a piano tutorial book within, but also my music stand. For me this is much better than a possibly more elegant seat with a resultant reduced storage ability.So would I buy again? I think I would perhaps look for a more 'synthesizer' suited aesthetic, but were I using it with a glossy black piano, yes I could well. Nevertheless, if the manufacturer should read this, I would recommend looking at alternative materials and styling of the cushion.

Bought this for 6 year old, it’s very sturdy, height adjustment is easy to use and works well for a child, looks great in a living room too! Definitely recommend it, worth the money!

Purchased this stool in July 2003. Come April 2024 the top section fell to pieces and unpreparable.This object needs to be made of real wood which it is not. If you should purchase this unot tighten all the screws before using.It worked well until it collapsed.

It's a good deal but when you buy new, you expect it to be new. This feels like a return that has been re-boxed and sent out. The legs and the sides of the bench are heavily scratched. The sides have a plastic wrap around them and I assumed that taking it off would leave a pristine surface but there are lots of scratches everywhere. The legs are easy to assemble but no matter how much they are tightened they don't all align the same which points to less than stellar manufacturing. I'm keeping this because I can't be bothered to pack it up, return it and buy another. I can live with the damage as it seems like a nice bench for the price but I am disappointed. Last thing to note, the storage in the seat is very small, it looks a lot bigger in the pictures so that's a little misleading.

Very sturdy and well built stool, p;leanty of room and quite comfy. it can be raised or lowered to suit your legs. A really nice piece of equipment that is well worth the money and will last for ever!!! It is also very easy to assemble, you don't need to instructions and it is pretty obvious how it fits together, it took me about 5 minutes and if I can do it, trust me, anyone can do it!!!Good buy!!! 5 BIG STARS.Great Buy for home or stage work.

So important to sit at the right height. This stool has really improved my playing and comfort.
