SPT SU-2628B Dual Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier

Heated for about one year and then only a cool mist left. Not what I paid for.

Purchased this as a replacement for another brand we had used for several years in our first floor living room/dining room area. It runs a minimum of 12 hours daily. Because of the tank capacity it runs about a day and a half before the need to refill. It will shut off when empty. The empty light does come on if the tank isn’t properly seated on the base. I intentionally chose a warm air humidifier and it does a great job. The warm mist seems to keep the downstairs warmer. This unit heats the water better than the larger more expensive humidifier in our bedroom. It is also extremely quiet. I only use distilled water because it eliminates the white powder coating on flat surfaces that occurs when using tap water. Cleaning the unit is very easy and needs to be done less often than when using tap water. This is the best humidifier I have used, and I have been seriously considering getting another one while it’s available just to keep as a backup.

This works great. It is quiet and I like how you can rotate the mister so you can redirect the mist away from wall if positioning becomes an issue. I never use the light function however (and I really wanted to) because it rotates through the color, which is distracting when I am trying to sleep. I would have like to have been able to set it to a calming blue color and have it say that way all night. I ended up keeping it but am very disappointed that the makers did not consider that cycling colors might be distracting.

Can really pump out steam or adjust it to low to last several days.update 2/1/21 Still pumping out the mist. The LED light failed but that’s OK. I run it on max with heat mode and get 13 hrs per tank full. I have forced air heat which circulates the air throughout the 3400 sq ft house. It can keep up except when it is exceptionally dry and cold. Bottom fill is inconvenient and can be difficult to remove if over tightened. I fill it 2x per day in the winter. 7am 7pm.Update: Looks like the powers supply died after 3 years of 24x7 of use, 5 months of the year. I would still buy it again.

Love this humidifier. Ion exchange filter removes the minerals that cause white dust to be deposited on everything, like happens with typical ultrasonic humidifiers. I loved the previous model, which is on its last legs after 7 years. This on has a larger tank and is easier to fill. The night light is of little use, but I don't want the night light anyway.

Did not work right out of the box. Returned it and was just informed that there will be a $25 restocking fee!! For a product that did not work - ever!!They do not go through the usual Amazon return process. I will NEVER order another product that bypasses the Amazon return policy.

Works very well. We will see about durability. Warranty is 1 year but a season is 3 mos.

Product worked great for 6 weeks and started leaking. Both water basins (filter side & misting side) were over filling and mist would stop and water overflowed. Verified that tank cap and filter were secure and tank was properly seated on base. Found no cracks or damage to any part of unit. Held up tank to check for leakage and found none. Amazon Support connected me with Sunpentown Support to process replacement. Sunpentown looked at Amazon invoice and stated warranty was not valid because product was resold by Amazon. Amazon would not replace or allow return because 30 days had passed since purchase.
