The power of the sun, in the palm of your hand.
I work in private security and have been wanting a new light for a while now but never found one I was super happy with. Tried a few other brands and it was always something - battery, brightness, size, or the buttons. A friend pointed out the EDC and I decided to give it a shot. Right off the bat I was stoked for the light. The buttons are on the back, it has a momentary on (high and low, huge for working events), it saves what brightness you last had it at, it has 2 lockout modes (one allowing momentary high), and it has a solid rechargeable battery.Out of the box I did notice a weird issue, the 3000 lumen mode could only come on for 1-2 seconds before stepping down. I thought this was odd but assumed it was normal at first, maybe it was just meant for a quick momentary. After emailing Nitecore support I found out it actually wasn't supposed to do that! Here we are a day later and I have a replacement that keeps at 3k as long as I need it to.The oval shape will take some getting used to, but it does feel better in a pocket. The only thing I might change would be recessing the light some, as it is you need to keep it fully in front of you or you get some light on yourself because if has a pretty wide throw.

Comfortable, powerful, adjustable.
5 levels of brightness, instant access to defensive 3000 lumen strobe or beam.2 stage Lockable buttons, battery voltage, control screen. Love it for everyday carry.

Nice light but buttons need improvement.
When carried using the pocket clip the light can go on when sitting down. There are 2 lockout modes but I don't want to use them on a tactical light. Also, the power button is not very definite doing the half- push.

Insanely bright.
The max setting (which you can use only momentarily because of both battery drain and heat) is insanely bright. Everything else is great, too. Good fit and finish, sturdy, flat, small, and fits easily in a pocket. Couldn't ask for more.

Awesome light with crucial detail deficiencies
The size of the light, the amount of light it produces, and the beam are great - no quarrel with that. The battery life is good - except see below. The clip is, like most, better when removed so it won't get caught on random things. That is relatively easy to do.So where's the rub? The main tail switch is rubbish. It is supposed to be operated in 2 ways: half-press and full-press. This is not uncommon, but it is made very hard because the point of contact is PAST the point of feedback. So your finger feels "yup - that's a half press" and the light says "nope - you need to push just a little bit further". And before you know it you've done a full press. That alone is highly frustrating. Add the fact that a press takes a moment to register for further aggravation. Then comes the part where the switch is well proud of the body and does not require a lot of force to depress so it becomes very common to grab the light only to notice it's been on for a while and the battery is almost ready for a charge.Could have been great. But the people designing and producing it have to sweat the details. I expected better from one of the premier flashlight manufacturers.

Very nice Flashlight but plenty of battery and lumens
I bought this flashlight to have it in my truck, I had a smaller one but I decided to splurge a little on this one, no regrets, this is a very nice built flashlight with plenty of options and very bright when you need it.

not lasting long
I work in an automotive shop so I use this light everyday and within a couple months. The buttons “half click” is almost impossible to use and now the screen does not work either. I would think for 100$ it would last longer than this and the customer service is subpar considering they want me to send the light to china to get fixed before they even send me anything.

Broke in just over a month
The primary on button lost it’s tactile click so you can’t properly change brightnesses. Very disappointed in this light I will not buy this brand again.
