Q: How much liquid does it hold?

Wise Maximum pads do not hold nearly as much as other pads. But they are soft & comfortable. If you need minimum protection this is a good pad.

Q: Is this the same absorbency is a Poise #5?

Hello, our Ultimate pad is similar in absorbency to Poise #6. Our Maximum pad is similar to Poise #5 in absorbency.

Q: Are wise pads FSA approved

It is written on the package FSC approved. (Waste-free Wood Pulp only from FSC Approved Forest). Hopefully this helps.
