I used Polytar for years and loved it. Then it vanished for a while to I turned to Capsacal (sp?) instead. Then it came back. I can only get silly little bottles though, and I swear it's more expensive than it used to be. Also the look and smell of it has changed. It's much paler to look at, and the smell is different. I always loved the coal tar creosote fence smell. To me it smells fresh and medical and clean...but now it's very wimpy and I can't smell it at all once my hair is dry. This of course may be a major plus point for you.Also...the psoriasis on my head is worse and I don't know if it's an ingredient change or a coincidence because Caspasal has changed too. T gel does nothing for me as usual.Woe is me. ;-)

Really doesn’t smell as bad as it used to. Remember back in the day when your mother used to scrub your head with this and you’d stink for days, not now! It still has a smell, but not like it did.Great shampoo, perfect scalp treatment with coaltar benefits.

Since I can no longer find Alphosyl around I tried this product and have found it a great substitute.
