I purchased this for an upcoming backpacking trip and I really wanted this particular print and it was sold out everywhere else. I am very happy with it! It is super comfy (I am very picky about pillows) and it packs down to a good size so I can fit it easily in my backpack. After being packed down it quickly pops back up.

We tried several compact pillows before settling on these. They were the most comfortable ones we found.

I am going camping soon and wanted to take a more compact pillow instead of my standard bed sized one. I just got it today, and right away I noticed how soft and warm it will be when I use it. It can be made firm or softer, as it has a cinch cord to pull tight to make it more firm. Everyone says it's lumpy but I feel like that is because you need to fluff it when you first get it or tumble in dryer with no heat, and made for those who like a softer pillow. I have not yet used it which is why I gave 4 stars, but I can already tell it will be very comfortable. Highly recommend. The outside fabric front is like a suede feel and the back is a solid color with a water wicking type polyester material.

It's small enough to pack, but fluffs up into a cozy head-hugger after a few shakes. The cinch feature is basically magic—you can adjust it to the perfect level of squishiness. I mean, who knew you could have pillow preferences in the wild? It’s so comfy, I almost forgot I was sleeping in a tent. Warning: might make you question why you ever slept on rocks or rolled-up jackets in the first place

I really like this pillow. I’ve had it for 9 months and have hiked with it in several states so far. It has the perfect amount of softness for me and 14 X 18 size is perfect for placing into the pillow pocket of my Zenbivy sleep system. It’s light and gets even smaller when I stuff it into a compression bag along with my sleeping bag. I really like the sage topo print.

We’ve had one of these for 5 yrs that I always take kayak camping and sometimes backpacking with me. I decided to get another so me and my partner could both have one when we go in trips together. The problem is that the updated design doesn’t pack down nearly as small, despite being the same size pillow as the older one. You can no longer cinch it down once it’s packed into its flap. There’s now just an elastic loop and bar that holds it together, but it doesn’t compress it. So even if this thing loses some loft as it ages, it will still be able to fluff up to fit the dimensions this passive closure allows, and it’s a much larger set of dimensions then the older design. Space is everything on the trips I intend to use it on. The cost (in terms of space occupied) of taking a pillow like this has always been a little steep, but for the comfort I decided it was a luxury I could afford. With the redesign and loss of cinching when stowed, that cost has risen and I think it’s no longer worth the space it occupies. You could use it for car camping, but then why not just bring an actual pillow which is way cheaper and more comfortable. So I’m not really sure what niche this pillow fits anymore.If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But that’s exactly what thermarest has done.

This is a great travel pillow

The only way this pillow is comfortable is when I leave it folded in half in its compressed state which much smaller than what it’s supposed to be. It takes a bit too much room in a pack for the level of comfort it brings.

Great quality feel and packs up to a good size for traveling. Recommended!

Easy to use, on initial opening you need to shake the pillow out , buy after that its brilliant. There is a pull cord on the side that enables you to adjust the firmness to your liking and it does have an attached stuff sack. The only slight downside is that it doesn't pack down that small, but then sometimes comfort wins the size battle! Excellent product from Thermarest, well worth the money.

After camping for 10 years, I finally found a pillow that gives me the sleep I need. Great product! Definitely recommend

It folded so was easy to carry and did not take up too much room, not particularly comfortable to sleep on and not value for money.
