Q: Two pieces or two pair?

It is two pieces one for each side. They work great. It works better on some pants than others, just depends on how far apart the belt loops are. I would rather have these than a regular basis regular belt

Q: Has anyone tried these for TSA security? That is about the onky reason that I would need these.

I bought these and used them for a while. They need to be a little shorter for me. Too much length to effectively tighten. These might work great for adding stuff to your belt. I ended up buying a stretchy belt. It works better for me. The belt pros work ok for short term use.
