We molded this just as it was indicated, but the guard is so rigid after molding my son said it was highly uncomfortable, painful even, so he will not wear it.

This product has great potential, if you can mold it. My son has full braces and found it difficult to mold, even though he has done this many times throughout the years. The fitting cage was too large for his mouth and when he tried to mold without it, his braces got caught on the mouth guard and he struggled to get them loose. Seems like a nice heavy duty mouth guard, but not for him. He is 12 yrs old and this was listed as age 10 and up.

I have lived with night terrors my whole life stemming from stuff in my childhood. I have had the dentist make me guards to keep me from breaking more of my teeth. I went through 3 of them. The last had the strength of steel. I broke that one in half in my first week of wearing it. Not only that I swallowed half of it in my sleep as it was never found. I kind of gave up for a while but then I came across this brace and thought why not give it a try. The price was nice and it said really high quality so I bought it. The guard arrived fast and without any damage to it. It was really easy to fit to my mouth. Make sure to read those instructions and practice putting the cage into your mouth a few times so you know what to expect. I have been wearing it every night since I got it and it has zero damage to it. I can't believe I spent all that money at the dentists instead of just doing this from the beginning...

Hard to mold, to thick, and to large. Doesn't stay in place very well.
