Fixes sinking office chair problems
This fixes sinking office chair problems. I put this on my computer gaming chair and have been using it for about a month with no issues. I am 6 feet 2 inches and weigh 255 pounds. I have been using this for about 6 months with no issues.

Worked great. Make sure you really tighten it hard

Office Chair support
It works really well stabilizing the height of the chair so it didn't keep falling

So simple, even I was able to fix my chair!
This little piece of hardware is working great to keep my dad's old office chair from sinking. I've been aggravated with this chair for years because it wouldn't stay elevated. I had even made it into a cat lounge and had one of their beds in it because it was way to low for me to sit in it comfortably. It had taken some abuse from cat claws, but was comfortable and was to good of a chair to toss. And I definitely didn't want to spend the money to get a new one. I was so glad to see this easy fix available and it is really affordable. It actually came with 2 chair fixers in the package, which is great, because I have another office chair that has the same problems. It is a heavy piece of hardware that has silicone on the inside of the brackets to keep them from sliding up and down the chair support when installed. So simple, but ingenious. I just took the two bolts out of the brackets and put the chair at the height I wanted it, put the brackets on the chair lifter, inserted the bolts and tightened them with the included hexi wrench. I'm not a fixer type person. This was so simple, I did it in a matter of minutes. It is staying up with no problem. This had no affect on the swivel action of the chair, so I can spin if I want to. And, yes, the cats are mad, because I took their chair.

Clunky looking, didn't quite fit inside the decorative tubing on my chair. But worked.
It's a last resort solution, but it works. It's about as inelegant as it gets, as it's really just a clamp and some screws that physically stops the tube from being free to move down (the chair does still swivel, thankfully).I had a swivel office chair with the usual pneumatic gizmo that lost it's ability to stay up due to the seal being loose, I presume (after only a few months, no less!). I'd looked into getting a replacement tube, but they looked really hard to take out, and I'd already gotten a replacement chair that's much nicer. I just didn't want to throw the original chair away. So, now I can offer it to someone for free as a not-really-adjustable chair that you can still spin around in all you like. And I did manage to squeeze the decorative cover plastic tubes over this clamp, though they really didn't want to have it under them, so the clamp is at least not visible. Otherwise, it would look pretty awkward. Bonus: now I have an extra clamp, since the package included two. So I'm prepared for another droopy chair, if I ever encounter another one....Key to ratings:***** - well above average - best I’ve seen**** - above average - very good quality*** - average - not bad, not great** - below average - I probably wish I got something different* - a waste of resources - I wish this had never been made
