Not Blowing That Hard
The media could not be loaded. I wish they would have given it more blowing power like my fan does. It took awhile for my bedroom to get cooled down. There is cool mist coming out and the noise is not too loud like my big fan is. There is no remote. The size to me is okay. The appearance is a tower. In the back bottom is where you place the ice pack that comes with it. Gets cool with that and that helps a little with performance. Just wish that it had more power. If it had a little bit more power that would be great. Got it for some money off. That is probably why there was a discount. Maybe company will come out with one with more power and hopefully they will let me test it out for a review. I am just being honest with this review.

This is Not an Evaporative Cooler
This is not an evaporative cooler. This is a glorified fan that also sprays a mist of water into the air.Actual evaporative coolers pump water into/over their filter so that when hot, dry air passes through the filter, the air is released at a lower temperature as a result of the evaporating water. No ice is used what-so-ever with a real evaporative cooler. This product does not do that with its filter and even supports the use of ice or frozen packs of water. My room actually got hotter as a result due to all of the water being sprayed into the room and increasing the humidity in an already hot environment (Starting temperature was 25 degrees Celsius/77 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature after using the item for three hours was about 26 degrees Celsius/79 degrees Fahrenheit).Starting humidity was 35%. The humidity was 51% by the time I turned the device off as I noticed the room felt hotter which prompted me to check the humidity and temperature of the room.I was hoping this product would help reduce the temperature a little bit, but it did not.I returned the item for a refund as soon as possible.

It works, But be advised, trouble awaits!
1. The tower works, it cools a room. I am using it in a 250 sq.ft bedroom.2. What doesn't work, is the normal use design. There is a blue plastic drain tube that recycles water from an evaporation tray back into the water freed container. It is too short and has twice been retracted back into the guts of tower. My hands are too big to maneuver over the top of water container and then finger- manipulate the tube back into its required position. It took an hour, of trying and failing and this has happened twice.3. I called the 800 number seeking advice and was told to email the problem, I did. But their email system bounced it back because of a Hotmail originator, it was not being recognized by their system as valid originator. I was very mad! I was on the verge of returning tower as defective.4. My fix is to lengthen the drain tube, 2-3 inches or add wieght to tube.In my case I bought a large Stainless Steel wingnut that can screw onto end of tube( does not constrict water flow) and it should be heavy enough to keep the drain tube in the water container.5. This Manufacturer should also include instructions on how to maneuver the water container out of device. That took an inordinate amount of time to figure out where, and how it was catching; and then how to release it. Once out, restoring drain tube is a snap. But please make this process simpler for your customers. It would make the process of restoring the drain tube much easier!

Good quality fan just loud af even on lowest setting
The fan is a good quality, the misting effect is cool(no pun intended). Only reason it doesn't get the full 5 star is because it's loud. It's in my bedroom to help keep my husky cool at night but even at the lowest of settings, this thing is still kinda loud and will overpower any ambient music. Good powered fan, cool misting choice, just loud. Definitely great for front room or anywhere else than the bedroom. Unless you like or need the sound of a fan, then ya I guess the bedroom works. Also, don't write reviews half asleep.

Cools down the room fast
Update: after months of owning this fan and using it everyday all day I can honestly say this is the BEST investment I've made in a while! I just bought a second one yesterday for my bedroom. It does not leak, the hose needs a zip tie attached to make sure it doesn't pop out of the tank (it did on us but we put a zip tie on it after we took it apart to get the hose). The water does not last in the tank for 16 hours for like 3 or 4 hours we fill it up a lot but don't mind, we use regular lunch box ice packs that are small for it which works great. You need to have a water pitcher to get the water in the tank without splashing or causing leaks (I think that's why people complained about leaking they may be using regular cups)Overall I'm so incredibly pleased. I get heat stroke easily but this cooling fan has saved me and no I don't have an AC unit just this cooling fan and other fans in my windowSo please take my advice and BUY BUY BUY if you need a cooling fan! Totally worth every penny!I LOVE this Arctic Air tower cooling fan. I suffer from Dysautonomia and deal with extreme heat intolerance so when my apt complex said I couldn't have an AC unit I was worried BUT I saw this fan while searching for cooling fans and decided to buy it. My caregiver can help me watch the water level for it and it is SUPER easy to use. My caregiver is even shocked at how cool it gets my living room, granted I have window fans in 1 of 2 of my living room widows each day and my other powerful fan on at the same time. So if you're looking for a cooling fan then you should consider buying this one!! You might want to have other fans available for hot days as well

Coolness of air .
It is the perfect size for a room 16 x 16ft. It actually got on the chilly side when on full power. Turned it down from 4 to 2 and it was great. Looks great and easy to fill.
