Ninja Mega Kitchen System, Silver/Black BL773CO (Renewed)

I make a soylent like product for personal use that is packed with nutrients. It includes liquids, powders and some really difficult ingredients to blend. For instance dehydrated cranberries- much harder than raisins, they have to be soaked over time and even then they are very difficult to break down into a smooth texture. Of course there are regular berries, banana, and fiber products, proteins & oils & spices. Another challenge is the chia seeds. If left whole, the black seeds embed themselves between your teeth and look terrible. This blender, with the small container and the very high speed blade, breaks down soaked chia seeds into microscopic bits that will blend in to any larger quantity. No problem with embarrassing black spots in your teeth.As others have said, there is noise. It's a good noise that tells you that it's doing real work that can't be properly done otherwise. It's also a bit scary. All that power! Will the machine self-destruct? Will it last over the years like some of your other appliances? We just don't know yet.This particular machine is complex with all the attachments and functions. Few of us will use them all and be able to fully evaluate them or compare them with other products. Look for those reviews. I know I did. We are a community here and should help each other.I should mention that I bought a used Ninja machine-- the same version, a while ago. It didn't work, the motor wouldn't run. I suspected the complicated safety system. Before it will run, it is necessary to have the big container securely attached to the base, and have the lid securely attached to the container. If there is any internal problem with the system that checks this interlocking system, then the motor won't run. Safety first. I was able to return that unit, but I was impressed enough that I bought this deluxe model brand new.Amazon is pushing for a review and I've only had this thing for a couple months. It's great so far. Remind me to come back in a year or two for a more complete review. No really, remind me. I think Amazon will tell me if you make a comment on this review. Hope this helps!

I really like this system. It's easy to clean, easy to use, and I am using it to gain a new appliance while replacing 2 appliances. It's nice to just have 1 single base for 3 different appliances, and while the attachments take up room, it still takes up less room than my food processor and base and my blender and base.It's noted in many reviews about these systems, but the blades are SHARP. SO sharp, so be careful when cleaning them if doing so by hand. However, since the blades are sharp, they work really well and differently from my previous appliances.I usually mince garlic in huge batches and then freeze them thinly in ziploc bags so that I can always cook with garlic. My previous food processor actually pulverized the garlic instead of mincing it, but I didn't realize how much so until I used this product and the finish product actually resembled minced garlic and not just mushy paste.I've also used the blender and the smoothie maker, and the dough attachment for the food processor to make dough. This system made a very stiff batch of cookie dough extremely easily. It doesn't whip the butter as neatly as a stand mixer, but somehow all of the ingredients came together pretty perfectly as soon as the dry ingredients were added anyway.The only con is that you cannot use hot liquids with this. This means that for people who thicken soups in the blender, you can't while it's hot. Other than that, I definitely recommend this system. It does so many different things, and you'll save space and money by not buying everything separately

I helped my Mom buy one of these a few years ago & had wanted one since as my Bosch Kitchen center was slowly needing to be replaced (I couldn't find parts, though the engine is still great after over 10 years and bought used). My Mom recommended that I NOT get rid of my Bosch until I had tried all of the features of the Ninja. I now know why.The Personalized Blender- AMAZING. Kids love it & use it almost daily.The slicer, dicer- works just fineThe larger Blender- also very good..The part I miss the MOST from my Bosch.. the Mixer. I could easily whip eggs- not easy with Ninja.. the gluten free dough we need to make doesn't work well in the Ninja... and I've gone back to using my old Mixer for those features. Too expensive if it won't do the functions I use most- like baking. This combination of Ninja kitchen products is The Best! I loved mine so much that I bought one for my daughter! When I went to purchase hers I was dismayed to find that I couldn't easily find a "new" one. I finally gave in and bought this refurbished one, though I had never bought refurbished before. I bought the warranty just in case something wasn't right. It came the next day in new, perfect condition; each part boxed separately. She LOVES IT! We are very pleased. I would definitely buy from this seller again.
