A little about the Hebrew in the panels
Full disclosure: I had a small part in making the graphic novel, writing the Hebrew characters for the panel. I get no profit of any kind for its future sales. But I wanted to let you know that at every point Randy wanted as authentic a representation as possible. We got the idea to emulate the sometimes unique letters and forms found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. This of course approximates a first century time, and also that Lazarus had some scribal training. As a former Hebrew teacher, I was of course familiar with the Isaiah scrolls, having a photo facsimile in my library. I spent a few hours decoding and practicing the script until it would naturally flow from my hand. Then, with coarse charcoal pencils, would write the verses directily from Dead Sea Scrolls, referencing also the Leningrad Codex for some word spelling issues (called B19a or L among scholars). For Hebrew students who want the challenge, you should be able to decode the panels as meaningful Scripture, making adjustments for some slight changes in the forms of some Hebrew letters.Five stars for a creative storyline, that teaches Biblical truth. Five plus stars for the rugged characters drawn. The angels really do look like tough soldiers, not some men who just spent a day at a beauty spa, with soft hands and poofy hair. And of course all the stars in the sky for the Hebrew lettering ;)Though people of all ages will have fun and learn from the novel, my personal project is to get it out there for teen boys especially those who have a tough time reading conventional books. I have already put this graphic novel in the hands of some unchurched teen boys, and they have literally enjoyed and "fought" over who could read this book next (--yes, they are real boys fighting over just about everything!).Finally, from the view of these ancient eyes, put it on as big an E reader as possible. Having both digital and paper copies of the books, I recommend spending a few extra dollars and buy the paper book. It is of outstanding quality, using the best materials for sharp images.

Kingstone at their best!
An excellent graphic novel from Kingstone Comics. The artwork as always is beautiful and the writing really helps tell the story! Seeing Jesus in full color and glory really brought a smile to my face.

An incredible tapestry!
I'm not much of a comic/graphic novel fan. But I do love Alcorn's work. So let me tell you; this book is amazing on many levels. Alcorn has woven together the important teaching about heaven/hell as told in Luke 16 + several accounts of the gospel message + very reasonable biblical speculation + great storytelling. The result is something that is appealing to both Christians and spiritual seekers. ****Pharisee Alert **** A powerful evangelistic tool like this book is well-outside what the legalists/Pharisees of today will likely endure. But who cares? Sharing the gospel is the goal of every true Christian ... or at least ... it should be. Eternity fits that bill in a fantastic fashion. The biblical accuracy gave me goose bumps, and the artwork was outstanding. Randy's work has been a blessing to not only my walk with Christ, but also to my own writing. Hope to see more from him.

Accidentally Enjoyed
Although I have benefited from Randy Alcorn's ministry, I am not much of a graphic novel person. Most the time, the storyline is predictable and the characters, corny. However, Randy Alcorn used his sanctified imagination to visually produce the story of the rich man and Lazarus as told in Luke 16:19 -31. Throughout the vibrant pages, there are echoes of the common questions Eternal Perspective Ministries has sought to answer for years. I would read it again![...]

A Story of Salvation
This is a wonderful comic based on Jesus’ story of Lazarus and the rich man. In scripture it doesn’t say if the story Jesus tells was a parable, so it very well could have been a story that actually happened. This book expounds in a theologically and culturally accurate way of how that story may have happened, if Lazarus and the rich man were real people. The most important aspect of this comic is that it displays what it means to be saved.

My 12 year old son read this in one night because he couldn’t put it down. Said it was one of the best books he’s read.

Not Alcorn's best
I love everything Randy Alcorn writes so I bought this for my Kindle. I guess this is what folks call a graphic novel -- in my day, it was called a comic book. Anyway, if you have a Kindle Paperwhite, as I do (which I absolutely love), this is a hard read on it. It's in black and white and you have to keep tapping on the individual "blocks" to make them big enough to read on the Paperwhite. I tried to read it on my laptop, but I was having the same trouble with the font size, so I gave that up. Perhaps on the Kindle Fire it might be an easier read. In any event, of all the Randy Alcorn books I have read, this one was my least favorite. Most likely because the format didn't lend itself to the depth of character development in his full length novels, but I still thought it was ok.

Very Powerful
This book was based on the story in Luke about Lazarus and the rich man. The story is expanded in several ways. Yet it was able to catch the Gospel message. It hit me in a deep way. I think any Christian will be very touched by this. The visual look is very impressive as well.
