The style, colors and pattern on this butter bell is very pretty and definitely something you'd be proud to place in front of your guests at brunch. When it arrived, it was larger than I expected, much larger than my other crocks and I thought to myself "this will take at least a 1/2 pound of butter to fill," but then I lifted the top and the bell inside was the same size as my other butter crocks. It takes 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter to fill. I love it. Even my husband noticed it and thought it was cute, and that's saying a lot.

Bought it for a gift and the lady just was so excited to get it. It does all the things that's supposed to do,temperature ,freshness, it's just great.

It's super cute and leaves the butter fresh. I've had lots of butter bells in my life and they have otherwise been designed to become a butter tray but not this one. When you pull the butter out you flip the lip upside down and put it on the table. This lid doesn't lay flat and just kinda wobbles around the table a little bit. It's perfectly functional still but definitely a design flaw

I love all things butterfly and this is so cute! The colors are bright and cheery & the design on it is wonderful! I use bottled, purified water from Sam's club & i only have to change the water like once every 5 - 7 days. I do have to add more to it though some times. Just make sure that you really pack the butter in tight so there aren't any air pockets. It's so nice to have spreadable butter that's not a melty mess.

I love it so far, I change the water every day and add a partial twist of salt from my salt grinder, as I read reviews and it was suggested to add a touch of salt to the water to help keep the butter fresh. I was surprised at just how much butter it held. It looks good on my counter and I've had a few compliments on it. I was also having trouble with one of my cats getting up on the counter and knocking the lid off my other butter dishes and getting into the butter, which then I had to throw out. He can't do that now. I'll be getting another on at some point. I would definitely recommend.

Using the butter bell will soon pay for itself. It keeps butter soft and spreadable while keeping it fresh on the counter. Using regular butter is much, much cheaper than buying the spreadable butter with canola oil in it. The water line is helpful to know how much water to include.
