My boyfriend had been asking for a murakami pillow for his birthday but I couldn’t be sure if any of the super expensive ones I saw for resale were real or not. I figured I would avoid the risk and just get a recreation for a fair price. It is surprisingly nice and he loves it! It’s very big and soft and has a really nice weight to it.

It comes vacuum sealed in a bag so if you’re worried about it being banged up or wet from rain or something it’ll be fine. I think the fact that it was vacuum sealed and super compressed kind of messed up the filling and when you first get it out the bag it’s kinda clumpy but that’s mostly fixed by fluffing the pillow. Overall it’s a good looking pillow, the black is kind of sparkly but it’s fine. It’s actually surprisingly comfortable to sit up against. The fabric on the mouth has some areas where the fluff is kind of messed up and it makes some lines and I can’t seem to get it to all be in the same direction if you know what I mean. Also the gray parts kind of shed but only really if you pull on it. Overall it’s pretty soft and comfortable. It’s not a supportive pillow but it looks pretty good.

The package comes with a little card telling you how to fluff the pillow. Just do what the card says a few times and you’ll be good.

It was perfect I got the big one and the fluff was perfect and but when I opened it one of the petals were like not stitched? Thankfully I knew how to sew and it looked like new and the quality is great other than that rip everything was great!

This designer pillow which is called “Takashi Murakami pillows” look and feel like the real deal instead of dropping $230-300 on them. I never write reviews but this caught my attention after a few days displaying them around my bedroom !!

I was very skeptical because I wanted it to be medium sized and not small but it’s the exact size as the pictures! I like that it’s soft and it’s something I could lay on and not just have for decoration.

My daughter uses this in her dorm and loves it!
