Fun superheroes meet martial arts
Good fun superhero adventure, but this first book has a *lot* of martial arts terminology and scenes in it which don't mean a lot to me. The characters are good though, and the relationships feel real. The big twist is set up nicely - the readers can see it coming from a long way away (various clever ambiguities) but it's natural that the characters don't. The book is pretty short, but that means it's also pretty fast-moving. I'm looking forward to book two.

Emotionally affecting and deeply awesome
I cried, I cheered, I raged, I thrilled. I can't wait to read the second book. What a delightful cast!

Like watching a great cartoon!
Not only does this book feel exactly like watching a great cartoon with superpowers and transformations, it also manages to portray its teenage characters with a very believable and relatable awkwardness. I can't wait to see the plot and characters progress in future installments!

Immersive and fun
This book is introduction to the world and magic system that will be explored and I can't wait to see what's in store. I got immersed in the story from the very beginning, characters are lovable and with distinct personalities.Enjoyed art, martial arts fighting, friendships and coming of age elements mixing together in this short book, everything fits just right. Looking forward to reading more.

A very fun read
This is a very enjoyable story, the character development is solid, and as you read the adventure it unfolds in a very organic way. The story is short but reminds me of the serial stories that were common at one point, I am looking forward to the next book.

A Good Story
This book starts out normal and slowly introduces the fantasy later. The girls are young and there’s no romance. Read in one day and waiting for more.
