Tulip Needle Company Sashiko World Hawaii Stamped Embroidery Kit-Anthurium

The photo of this pattern appears to depict bright colorful thread, but the colors are very reminiscent of Christmas - dull gold, red and green. Not at all what I was expecting. I’m undecided if I will keep it or try different thread.

This is not going to create great art, but it's definitely relaxing! Sashiko is new to me. I like this kit, it's colorful. It's not the most useful of items - not terribly sturdy (which is reflected in the price -very inexpensive) and they suggest you make it into a dishcloth or pillowcase but I'm not crafty enough for that.. But I enjoy the stitching and it's nice to have a colorful project - I got a little tired of just blue and white.

First time trying Sashiko. Turned out very nice. Used as a small placement on a small table. Very pretty.
