Very good.
Even years after purchase, this doorbell is still going strong, battery life is excellent and good and loud enough to hear in my small apartment. Well worth buying.

Good loud doorbell with consistent performance
I have had three wireless doorbell sets, spending more money each time in the hope of getting one that would work for more than a few months. But no hope. They start off fine, offering a wide variation of fancy tones (which people mistake for the radio or a mobile phone, and so do not answer the door). After a short while they stop working every time (postmen take parcels back to the sorting office thinking nobody is at home) and then give up the ghost completely. Technologically, it cannot be difficult to make a wireless bell kit that goes on working, but I have not been able to find one.So back to basics. And this does the job perfectly. It is easy to wire up, easy to screw on to the wall, put the batteries in and bingo! It has a really good loud ring that sounds like you expect a doorbell to sound. Very reasonable price, and I expect it to give good long service.

Anyone in?
Bought for my parents. A really good value wired bell (still made in this country). Everything is included in the pack apart from the D cells (2 required) and a pair of scissors to cut the ubiquitous blister packaging (oh! and a screwdriver and just possibly a drill).Installation is really quite straightforward. The bell unit can be screwed to a wall with (supplied plugs and screws) or just hung on one screw (easiest). The bell push needs two screws (supplied) to fix to the wood work or wall, together with a long amount of bell-wire supplied.Anything not to like? Well ... the main unit did not appear to have a cut-out notch to permit the wire to exit from the unit and neither did the bell-push. However, all said and done the bell works really well and is plenty loud enough ... especially when considering the price.I would buy another one!

Great Whilst It Works
Doorbell kit that includes the push-button. Battery Powered.Nice loud old-fashioned ring. Louder than any other doorbell I've heard. After about 12 months it developed an intermittent fault with the sound (only making a single, slight 'ding', instead of ringing properly). Batteries were tested & found to be fine. After another few weeks it started ringing constantly, despite no one pressing the push-button.Thankfully it had a 2yr warranty, so Amazon arranged a return.Once returned, ordered an identical replacement April 2024, but they have clearly changed how these are manufactured, since the time we purchased the first one (Nov 2022), above. The new one has a quieter bell, & the push button is a different size, so doesn't fit the original holes in the door-frame.The original also came with batteries, which the new one does not. The price had also increased on the new one, by £5. Not good.

You can't beat simple technology...
Having struggled with a useless array of wireless doorbells, which either failed to ring, randomly rung, or broke I gave up. The idea of messing with cables and drilling originally set me off down the path of using the expensive and ineffective wireless option, but in hindsight I should never have worried. Out of the box the door chime is simple to fit. You can either drill two holes and mount to the wall or, if you prefer, simple hang on a picture hook (even with the batters, it's not very heavy). Fitted in 20 minutes - and I'm a DIY novice. The bell in place it makes a simple bell ring (rings as long as the button is held in) and is loud enough to be heard through a sizeable house. It's worth noting that this is just the chime - not the bell ring button and bell wire. You'll have to get those separately. I picked mine up from a local DIY store for a few pounds.Overall I'd say, cheap, simple, effective, and reliable. Wired beats wireless everyday.

Perfect Doorbell
I bought this to replace a superficially similar doorbell that had finally given up the ghost after about twenty years and a few repairs. Because I already had the wiring and switch in place, installation was quick and easy. The bell can be heard all over the house and even down the bottom of the back garden without sounding either harsh or too strident. It rings for as long as the button is pressed,It is supplied with what I imagine would be sufficient wire plus switch etc if you need it. I think a wired door bell is definitely the best and most reliable type therefore as I say, the Perfect Doorbell!

simple system that works well
The bell kit has a white case and black bell, which looks okay and it is simple to install - just attach the two wires to the bell and then to the bell push and add batteries. All bell systems that I have used are fallable in different ways, but the simplicity of batteries and cable mean that this system works reliably for quite a long time. The main problem that I have found is corosion, due to the weather, at the bell-push. The bell sound is quite loud, so it is audible in most parts of the house. There is nothing much to be critical about; the bell cable, at 6 metres, is long enough to position in the hallway, screws are supplied, but not cable clips and it is easy to install and maintain.

Well made basic, "moderately" powerful bell
This bell performs quite well for the price. It is well made, quite stylish for what it is, and easy to install. However, I have one negative point to make: the ring is not very loud. It is adequate, but nothing more. If you need to place it in a hallway and hope to be able to hear it ring from another room, don't have the radio on too loud! The size of the bell itself leads you to believe it will be a powerful sound. It isn't, I'm afraid. It is adequate for our purposes, but we had to position it in a different place to the one we planned in order to be sure to hear it. Would recommend this bell so long as you aren't expecting something really powerful!

Très bien
Très bien. Rien à signaler sinon que pour l'instant, après installation au mur, cela fonctionne correctement.La tonalité n'est pas aussi forte que signalée dans la description. Elle me rappelle la sonnerie des téléphones des années 60.
