Nice quality metal base and faux leather seat. Smooth, no imperfections on the seat, and easily wiped clean. Large seat is easy to sit on and comfortable, feels sturdy and solid, you can lift/lower the seat easily with the level. Installation took about 60 seconds -just pop off the plastic gas cap, install seat screws and pole base -done. -- These were a bit bulky for my modern minialist kitchen counter, but I could not get the assembled stool apart to return to Amazon. This company messaged with me through Amazon's app, told me not to worry, issued a full refund. Great customer service!

When you attach the seat upside down to the top post look for the arrow that must point to the word “front”. Otherwise the seat won’t lift when you place it in the bottom post, speaking from experience. I assembled the seat on my table top in photo. It comes with white gloves so that’s cool. —-And separate packets of bolts for each stool, so don’t panic when there’s only one bolt left and look for the other packet!

We were looking for black stools for the overhang of our island (roughly 8-9 inches) and were having a hard time finding some that fit our style and size needed. We didn’t want anything gigantic as the space was small. We gave these a try and could not be more pleased. They look wonderful, took literally minutes to put together, and they are comfortable. I had a slight problem after a few weeks with the one stool and the company remedied the situation within days. I love that they swivel, move up and down, and aren’t super heavy. They hold my 30 pound toddler and 300 pound father perfectly.

Extremely easy to assemble, they look great and are comfortable. We received a stool that was damaged and received excellent customer service and a replacement in a timely fashion. We are very pleased with these!
