Perfect for controlling your Victron kit
I ran a raspberry Pi running the Venus OS initially as I had a spare one not being used but it is less flexible a sit has no Can bus so you need an external usb to canbus device and possibly a powered usb hub. The Cerbo can also be powered from the batteries. Highly recommended.

It's OK but glaring omissions in functionality
Well, it does what it says on the tin, i.e. pulls a bunch of Victron equipment together and makes them visible on the web. BUT why is there no simple way, within the cerbo, of setting a couple of configurations and having them change as a function of time of day?e.g. charge at night on low rate electricity, only use the battery during the day?I'm guessing that there's a LOT of people who want to do this, but the cerbo doesn't seem to want to know about time.I looked online, and there is a way of doing this BUT it's a real hacking job. I don't have time for that, I'm not a young nerd.I suppose it's true what a mate said to me: Victron, although good, is a brand for boats and RVs who are rarely on grid. Those of us with houses should cast around for appropriate technology.

Nice item but this one just suddenly packed up for no reason. I returned it but now awaiting refund
This is plug and play and the cables are color coded for easy installation.

Great concept, but a few problems
Just first impressions - Fitted on boat, also have BMV-700, MPPT75/15, and ET112 installed. So far the main problems is the temperature readings, or should I say displaying them. They are only available hidden in the settings, or on advanced dashboard, and no matter what I do they will not appear on the remote console or main dashboard. As they are connected to the main engine I need to see them, in fact they are some of the most important data. Then there is the alarms, again in alarm state the temperature alarm does not display in any of the main pages, sure I can get it email to me but no use if offshore, and who looks at emails when sailing ?The secondary reason I wanted the GX was for the level control ability, (not yet tested) but this uses up the only controllable relay. There is a 2nd but it is manual operation only, but logically it should be a dedicated alarm relay, I have yet to test the local alarm as the alarm tests have been done remotely. So while a great product with some updating, not ready for prime time with these glaring issues.Secondary problem is that despite having a Shore power setting for AC the ET112 only shows up as inverter load. I did manage to change this by hacking into a settings file, but this will get overridden next update. Also the remote console insists on having an inverter at the centre even if there is not one fitted, and the system just ignores the battery charger. How difficult would it be to make the system realise that current flowing into a battery is from a charger and not a negative load. The voltage alarms work fine if set in the BMV-700, showing up in the remote console.

easy to install and use but if you use on a 48v System there is an batch issue
This is easy to use and install with the app over Bluetooth, but there is an issue with a batch of them when using with a 48V system, and the application note that suggests using a capacitor will fix it, but it didn't in my case so I used a buck converter and dropped the voltage to 12v to stop it from damaging the board, it should work ok with 12 and 24 volt systems, but If using with a 48v lead acid system (these are higher than Lithium) I would suggest dropping the input voltage.
