I bought these bowls for my cats, well, really for me, so I could fix my cats' breakfast and dinner at the same time. I fill these with their dinner, put the lid on, and store them in the refrigerator until dinner time. This saves me time when I get home and really don't feel like getting everything out again. I have dropped them many times, and they have not broken or leaked. I love these bowls! There's enough of them that I can make two days worth of breakfast and dinners for my cats when I have some busy days coming up. I have four cats. The lids can be hard to remove, but I just use my fingernails to get under the lids, and they come right off.

Pros:Inexpensive per unit.It is a good size for anything less than a half cup of ingredients.The bowls feel solid and sturdy.Has fairly tight-fitting lids.Bowls stack.Cons:Lids will stack with care but are unstable.Lids are sufficient to prevent spilling but are NOT watertight. I.E. slow drip if filled with water and held sideways.Other:I can't say for this set, but I've had a lot of other plastic lids crack so...Plain glass not borosilicate, but it's not advertised as oven-safe anyway.

These are fantastic for prepping ingredients when cooking. Durable, easy to clean, perfect size to hold measured spices, small quantities of chopped ingredients, sauces, etc. The only reason for a deducted star is the lid. The lids are easy to snap on, but removing them is super annoying! Unless I'm missing something, the only way I can get them off is to wedge a spoon between the bowl and the lip of the lid and pry, pry, pry.

We use them all of the time for cooking. The stack nicely. We don't typically use the lids but it's nice to have them. Dishwasher safe, you can use them in a lot of different ways- dip bowls, portion cups. Strong glass bowls. Good for "build your own bowl" nights for ingredient display

These bowls are very cute and make great dishes for small things like pudding or sauces. However, the lids are really hard to use. The lids fit very tightly and require significant pressure to remove. The lid itself has a small lip to grip, but there is nowhere on bowl itself to grip making this a challenge. I threw away the lids, which was the main reason I got this set.For example: I had mixed some salad dressing and used only half. I put a lid on and refrigerated the extra for the next day. It took several tries over about 3 minutes to get it open again. Even after wiping the surface dry of condensation several times, my hands would slip on the roundness of the bowl. I was anxious it might break and left with cramping fingers from the effort.

Works awesome for storing small amounts of food, spices, condiments for later with the lids or to prep for cooking ahead and use when your recipe calls for it. Using glass instead of plastic is key for ease of cleaning and limit cross contamination of flavors.

Very nice set but the lids are very snug which is good but they are hard to get off.

Nice bowls for dips. Very tight lids and nice fit. Both bowls and lids dishwasher safe.
