Q: Are they good enough to support jumps and spins?

This depends on how much you weigh and how tall you are. If you're an average sized adult then, no. I am 5'6" and 105 pounds and I found that there isn't even enough support in my boots for a small waltz jump! These boots are definitely for a BEGINNER skater. This boot is for someone working on edges, three turns, and basic spins. The blade has a poor rocker radius, meaning the "sweet spot" you spin on is flat. I hope this helps!

Q: What size should I get compared to a ladies sneaker?

Your SHOE/SNEAKER size is NOT your SKATE size. I wear a shoe size of 8.5, and I bought these skates in size 7, and they fit perfectly. NOTE: Thick socks are NOT recommended for ice skating. Buy knee-high nylons and wear them for skating (not real socks).

Q: What is the difference between the gs180, gs181 and gs184?

Q: My grand daughter takes a size 2 youth size, she is 7 1/2. Is the size 2 here the same?

I ordered the size 12 for my daughter who is a true size 12. I expected it to be on the larger side but was surprised when it fit perfectly with thin socks. So, if your granddaughter is a true size 2 I would start with that. But if you think she could be a 2.5 than you might consider sizing up. Hope that helps!
