Hardware not correct, no instructions, not enough force
One or all of the hardware adapters were either out of specs or completely wrong. No instructions and the hardware doesnt match any online instruction manual. The hardware especially doesnt match the picture in this amazon listing. Actually it doesnt make sense at all. THIS ONLY WORKS IF THERES ENOUGH SPACE ON THE SLIDING DOOR FRAME TO DRILL UP TOP. My door did not have enough to do this, I created an adapter and lined it all up and gave up afterwards since the door seemed too heavy (I did get the "heavy" version too). Im an engineer and very handy. This is probably the worst product (and severely overpriced for what it is (a spring loaded shock) that I ever had the displeasure of ordering.

No instructions, overpriced for what it is
Some very basic instructions would have been helpful in stead of googling.It works but for the aluminum tube with spring that it is it’s way overpriced.But works

Not quite strong enough to fully close my slider
Easy to install. Does work, but does not fully close my sliding door. Closes until the last 1.5”. Keeps my indoor pets in when my kids forget to close the door, but not quite strong enough to fully close the door

To hard to pull the door open
It makes it hard to open the door the brackets are for a thin 1 inch door it does not fit a regulator sliding glass door. It does close the door but you have to hold the door open as you walk through or it shuts on you. the bounce back is too tight I have adjusted and adjusted it. this was not worth almost 100.00 the installation directions were not good at all I regret buying this.The seller is good fast shipping good packaging just a bad product

This is a poorly made product. It didn’t come with hardware to install it and it was flimsy. Buyer beware.
