This book was very enlightening to me. It showed me how amazing America’s history is and how much the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were and will continue to be this nation’s answer if we will continue to seek Him and respond to His love and wisdom. He moved mightily in our beginnings as a nation and is eager to continue doing that as long as we seek His will and put our trust in Him. Our history as a country is very exciting. It should always be passed on to our children. The truth will bless them.

As an American History and US Government teacher, I can only praise this book. Modern texts want to pretend that all the Founders were deists or neutral on religion. It's amazing that such a lie can pass the smell test. This book is not a scholarly work, but gives so many examples of how faith and Christianity shaped our early history and our government that it will be an education for most and a great source of ammunition if you ever have to argue with someone who is ignorant of America's real history. The book is a wonderful "quick read" and is made up, for the most part, of quotes and passages taken from major figures in American history. The bulk is from the period of the Revolution and early Republic, but some stories carry up to fairly recent times (50 years ago). Good book and well worth the time and money!

Actually this was acquired for someone else whose pastor had given her this book to read and she just had to have one of her own especially to share with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. I looked it over also and agreed that it was a good patriotic book for adults and children alike which also highlights the Christian faith and how God works in people's lives. Very inspiring. America was once so blessed by God but is now falling by the wayside. Perhaps stories like this will help in some way to remind Americans of what they are losing.
