Bring out the kid in you.
This is a beautiful scale version of a unimog and there is nothing toy about this scale beastie. It’s rc and moves to scale it’s also very well built and can take the knocks…buy one.

Holy detail!
FMS is putting out some killer scale vehicles and they perform just as good as they look. There’s really no aftermarket for them but I would imagine that’s soon to come. It was packaged very securely and arrived rather fast. What else can I say but they’re well worth the money, even if it stays on the shelf to admire.

Finally a better offering from RocHobby / FMS as far as 1/18th micro crawlers
As far as Mercedes Benz Unimog clones / replicas go this by far has been the best one in the micro scale options out there. There are some fantastic offerings at the 1/10th scale, but cost substantially more and you have to build them. So lets get right to it:Pros:- Reverse Beadlock rims- Digitally proportional controls- Prebuilt / Pre-painted, just add the 3 AAA batteries, charge up the included LiPo with the included USB cable (you provide the wall charger) and your ready to roll- Includes controller & receiver- LEDS for headlights, and tail lights- Adjustable steering servo from the controller- Scale body, and details including fold down rear / bed sides- Injection molded parts that are trimmed with no sharp edges or flanges- 9.8 inches long, by a little over a 6 inches wide- 6.3 inches tall, with a ground clearance of 1.57 inches- LiPo battery included- USB charger (not the wall adapter) included- Fun little crawler with the ability to easily last 30-40 minutes on feathering the throttle and slower speed- Micro RC lug wrench included- Box serves as a nice rugged storage container- Paint job is a flat paint, so it can easily be used as a canvas and be painted over.- Detailed interior- Instructions are clear and includes a blowup diagram to take apart and put back together- Real metal frame railsCons:- One color only- Lights on top of the cab do not work, for display only, but tail & headlights do.- Bobbles a bit, so be slow on tough terrain ascending and descending- Battery box is a little tight, I will probably run a cable to the back, create a small ammo box / "Job Box" right behind the cab, and place a much bigger battery there.- Doors do not open, I am actually glad they don't but it may bother some.Unimogs or in this case "Mogrich" are famously used in Europe offered by none other then Mercedes Benz. They were originally intended for farm use, but are also used in the military and other applications to haul serious weight and have some torque. Used models get swiped up easily by those wanting a slow, but powerful off-road vehicle, and some have even been imported here to the United States. Newer models go for 250k and some go for as little at 20k for used, but require extensive work. Out of reach for many, this offering of a 1/18th scale is a fantastic first or even a second crawler. In my case it matches up perfectly with my 1/24th scale Axial crawlers and seems on par as far as size and width and doesn't look out of place when placed next to them. My daughter, now 9, and I many years ago created an indoor crawler course out of cardboard, recycled items and hot glue gun that we set atop of board games and other items and totals to about a 15 feet course, that is portable and put together with BBQ skewers for the long bridges. Anyways, this crawlers stands side by side easily with our 1/24th scale Axial offerings. It has no issues ascending and descending, even steep inclines and declines. It wants to flip over, but that is to be expected due to height. I will probably add some weights to the top of the axial shafts, or inside the wheel rims to bring some more weight to counter the possibility of the forward or backward flip over. The vehicle also bobbles a bit so be cautious and drive it slowly and you'll do just fine. It would be really cool to install some oil filled shocks on this. There are 2 videos included here, but take a look online and you will easily find plenty of videos and reviews of this particular model, and I think it is a fantastic offering and a serious improvement over the other rock crawler offerings by FMS Hobby / Roc Hobby.

Lights not working.
I absolutely love this truck. My only issue is I can't turn the lights on at all. They blink when I turn truck on but once I power up transmitter lights turn off. I tried playing with remote buttons but I only get a beep sound. Any advice? I really don't want to return truck..

Good detail but a bit pricey for the whole package
For some reason this thing feels smaller than what I was expecting from a 1/18. The level of detail is great but the materials are a bit cheap and the whole thing jitters under any kind of acceleration. They splurged on the remote unnecessarily, there are buttons with no function and the remote itself is way too much for this little RC.Getting it ready for use was a matter of minutes as it comes assembled from the box. The box itself is well engineered and did a great job at protecting the package.Battery life is ok, I got about 20 minutes of total use out of it on regular terrain. Throttle control is finnicky, you need to be really careful to not have it lunge out over certain obstacles. Tip over angles are small because of the high center of gravity (battery is stored high in the engine compartment).Overall I would say this is a little too pricey for what you get. I wish it was bigger.
