These recipes are rather complicated!
I bought this book when I purchased a new ice-cream maker and since then, I've found numerous free recipes on-line that require less work! The recipes in this book are good but for example, I found recipes for lemon ice cream on a recipe site that cut out a few steps the author, Susan Whetzel has in her recipe. The on-line version is less work, much faster to concoct and my family and friends prefer it over Whetzel's recipe. Another example, Whetzel suggests using an ice bath in making some of her chilly desserts but the on-line recipe omits this step. I can't tell any difference whether I use an ice bath or not! My ice cream maker does the job for me! One advantage to owning this book is having written instructions in front of me but if they take more time or require more ingredients, that's hardly worth it. I think free recipes on- line that please the crowd and require less time to make are the best bargain! This is one "cook book" I won't use and could do without!

Fantastic easy to follow recipes
Fantastic book. Much easier than I thought, I already made frozen blueberry yogurt, my family loved it. Definitely a win -win, can’t wait to make the lavender honey ice cream

Hello summertime dessert extravaganza!
The Everything Ice Cream, Gelato, and Frozen Desserts Cookbook: Includes Fresh Peach Ice Cream, Ginger Pear Sorbet, Hazelnut Nutella Swirl Gelato, ... hundreds more! (Everything Series) I was super impressed by the vast varieties of ice creams, gelato, ice cream cakes and more. Not only is there your typical vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, Susan has an amazing Dreamy Orange Ice Cream that is reminiscent of those childhood favorite dreamsicles, artisan flavors plus classics like Butter Pecan. I highly recommend this cookbook for yourself and for gifts. My mother and mother in law both have June birthdays and this is what they are getting. I know they will love it as much as I do. Ice cream is the chosen dessert at my house with my husband and three boys and I look forward to trying every single recipe!

Very pleased so far with this recipe book!
I purchased my first ice cream maker and at the same time, bought this recipe book. I have to say that this book covers everything! From ice cream to gelato and even cookie recipes. I have tried a few so far and am quite happy. the lemon cream ice cream is awesome! I have tried a few others, too and all have met with rave reviews from my family.

Disappointing
I'm disappointed. At the beginning, the author describes different types of ice cream, gelato, sherbet etc. I was particularly looking for a variety of recipes for ice cream, including Philidelphia Style (made without eggs), which the author mentions in the description. None of the ice cream recipes are egg free. As a parent of a child with egg allergies, I'm terrible disappointed. There are other recipes for egg-free frozen desserts, but not ice cream.

Some good ideas but the recipes seem a bit suspect
I have a wonderful Gaggia ice cream machine and a very detailed and thorough ice cream recipes book that has helped enormously in presenting different types of ices. This one has lots of ideas but on reading the recipes they seem to be a bit suspect.... Too much sugar, or not enough cream, or ....Nice to inspire me to make my own flavours with recipes I know work but I don't completely trust the ones in here.

Excellent Ice Cream Cookbook!
I have a Cuisinart Pure Indulgence Ice Cream maker, and was looking for some different recipes for it. This book is wonderfully informative, and has some wonderful recipes. It's very versatile, and has recipes for ice cream (both regular and sugar-free,) gelato, frozen yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, granitas, etc. There aren't any illustrations, but it doesn't detract from it's charm. There are very detailed explanations, which make it easy for anyone to use. I definitely recommend this wonderful book!

Great recipes. Would like some Pictures
This is a wonderfully diverse book containing a great-many recipes. I would love to see some pictures in the book (I have the Kindle version) - not necessarily of every ice cream, but certainly of the more creative subjects.Every recipe seems to make 1 quart (quarter of a U.S. gallon, which is different to a U.K. gallon), which by my calculations is a little under one litre, however there are some recipes which make well over that quantity (the strawberry ice cream recipe, for example makes approximately two litres).Personally, I find the recipes a little sweet and find myself reducing the sugar content. It may seem as though I have more grumbles about this book than I do praise, but it is reassuring to know that these recipes are tried-and-tested by the author, unlike other books on the store, made up of recipes copied off the Internet.

American measurements
Some of the recipes look delicious but unfortunately all of the measurements are in cups so will need to be converted to ounces or grams. Wish it would have said that in the description as I probably would have bought a different book.

Grazie!
