Good protection for valuable MacBook
As others have mentioned replaced the elasticated straps with nylon type material which restricts how far you can open screen 90 degrees max, otherwise this is a great piece of kit to keep your MacBook safe, good fit to MacBook 14 inch

No elastic straps - limited 'use inside sleeve' functionality
As a long-time user of the previous generation Thule Gauntlet sleeve (version 3), I bought the version 4 model for my new 14"MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, on openng the case, I was disappointed to see that Thule have replaced the elastic 'hinges' on the previous model with non-stretchable fabric. This replacing (/cheapening?) of material means that you can only use the laptop inside the case at a maximum angle of 90 degrees. In most situations this just doesn't work, as the laptop needs to be open to a larger angle in order to see the screen properly. This severely limits the 'use inside sleeve' functionality. I found in most situations I just took the laptop out of the sleeve completely, as I couldn't see the screen very well. Not particularly impressed with this backwards step by Thule! I have no idea why the product team would decide to make this poor design decision, espsecially as the case is very expensive for what it does. Apart from the hinges, the case is made pretty well and looks fairly durable.

The elastics fold into the mac as it’s closing
When you close this with an open mac in it the elastics that hold the lid up fold into the mac so the lid shuts sandwiching the elastics which looks like it will crack the screen from pressure.
