Repeated plays shows album's true worth
Has tracks that will please fans from all stages of Pumpkin's existence; it's like glimpses from their past, present & future. I love the whole album, so inventive and gets better the more I play it. Great one for the car!

ATUM.
A very good melodic rock album. One of their best.

A triumph.
ATUM is the final instalment of a concept album trilogy, which began with1995's Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness and continued with 2000's Machina/The Machines of God. The album tells an epic interplanetary story set in the not-too-distant future, and features three original members of the band, William Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlinâ, as well as long-time guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Its an epic sci-fi-inspired rock opera which dips into the sound of pretty much every era of Smashing Pumpkins' career. While ambitious and complex there are plenty of highlights sand anthems here. Billy successfully balances the bombastic OTT tracks with more prog-influenced synthwave numbers. A triumph.

Supernova kind of velvety dusk
I’ve read the mainstream reviews mostly which I disagree with (with the noteable exception of one well known global publication).Worth bearing in mind my first SP gig was back in 94 and I’ve seen them 4 times since…so maybe a little biased…..Part 2 to Melloncollie this is not - that was an album of its time and nothing on this connects the two. What this does is give a very fresh version of the SP’s, if anything I can hear more of Gish and Siamese Dream on this as opposed to MCAIS.Overall I think this is pretty damn good and better than CYR and the other recent stuff. Kind of takes off where Oceania and Moments taE stopped. Like the synth but I would caution heavier use of it for fear of sounding 80’s which this band is not and not that there is anything wrong with 80’s music.Overall good to see SP’s back and really on form. The Corgan music experiment continues and I’m still hooked!

Billy has gone a bit weird(er)
A mix of good (rock music) and bad (casio keyboard tunes). Also, he seems to be getting involved with all the trans nonsense which isn't good. He's going a bit crazy. Probably still suffering from his stint with Courteny Love. That would break any man. And possibly veganism has rotted his brain too. He appears to be slowly turning into some sort of homo-ruminant. Moo.

Not the old Pumpkins
Didn't know if I should get this heard some pretty bad reports of the contents of this offering well I did get it and I played the first disc. Well it's not the Pumpkins of old drum machines and music that belong in the 80s I didn't go on to disc 2 or 3 and I won't be bringing it out much one for the top shelf out of the way a waste of money This is my view and only my view I think its crap but one man's meat
