Amazon Basics Tall Kitchen Plastic Rectangular Trash Can with Steel Pedal, Black, 50 Liters

I bought this garbage can because my dogs are awful about getting in the garbage. This thing not only got every corner chewed off but it stayed locked and they were unable to get into it! I am beyond amazed and happy! This thing held up to three big dogs and still is functional! I will probably end up buying another after they are out of the chewing phase. It is tough plastic but also looks nice in the kitchen! I also really like the size of it. I highly recommend!!!

I am going to give this 5 stars becausrcmy 110 lb dog can't get into it. My dog who is 6 recently pick up the bad habit of knowing how to open the trash can and if the batteries died and his big nose wouldn't open it he just knockedvit over. I was tired of coming in from outside to have trash all over the house. So I bought this one as it said dog proof. It is made of nice heavy plastic, has step to open and a lock for the lid. Best investment I could have made. I come home and the can is on the floor sideways and not a speck of dirty trash anywhere. This has happen 4 times so far and not a dent on it. I have to mop up the drool from where he was trying to break in unsuccessfully. Thought he broke it yesterday but a couple times pushing the down the slow close lid button and works fine. Thank you I am no longer angry.

Durable and works well. Easy to clean. Mouth is a little bit too wide for standard 13 gallon trash bags, but the bags stretch over the opening without tearing. Lock works well, and the foot pedal opener seems pretty sturdy. I recommend this durable, light-weight option if you need a can with a cover.

I like it it looks expensive but it's not everyone thinks it's wave motioned no you have to use your foot haha

This garbage can is a must if you have dogs that like to get into the trash. They now cannot just lift off the lid and dig in. Has deterred them and now they don't even try to get the trash anymore. Highly recommend.

Quality trash can; locks (we have a toddler who always tries to get into everything) buy is easy enough for everyone else in the house to open with ease. Looks modern and has an indicator on it that shows when it's locked/open(Harping on the lock because it was the best point of the item).The only thing I would change is that it has a slow close lid- meaning you either have to wait for it to close, or force it shut in order to make sure it's closed. Not a deal breaker but worth considering, as I don't think you can shut it off.

I had a small space near a doorway which was the only place I could have a trash can, and this one is perfect. It is easy to open, easy to change the bag, closes itself with a soft close instead of a bang, and you can use either your foot pedal or open by hand. It looks really nice, too. Super quick deliver, two days, and a great price.
