A great coffee table book
This book is an excellent assortment of imagery with background information provided for all images. I have the tiny version but the full size edition would be an excellent "coffee table" type reference. Nice to pick up whenever in the mood for contemplating the previous century and the good and very much bad of human achievements. It has imagery which many will find depressing and disturbing but sadly that comes with being human, one day we might learn but somehow sadly I think we won't.A very good book and if you can afford or acquire the large format version it'd be excellent indeed.

A book of great importance however
An emotionally stirring book, with some very tough and upsetting images. A book of great importance however, educational and eye-opening.Excellent quality.

smaller than expected
It is as good as expected, but not its size. Smaller than half of A4 paper.I purchased it outside UK, however, the overall payment with the postage(considering its weight) is very good : )Anyway, it is good one, recommend it.

Free book
I have returned it. It was very flimsy And the cover was separated from the book the letters were too small and this is the smaller copy. I wanted the full size copy.Although I requested to send it back, they asked me to keep it and they deducted the cost. So it was free.

a keeper
A great little book you can pick up at any time and it will always have something fascinating for you. I've had mine for 15 years and it still amazes and surprises me.

Disappointing size
Unfortunately the pocket size nature of the book means the images loose a lot of their impact. Much prefer the larger version which leaves the reader with a lasting impression. This one is resigned to sitting a little lost and lonely on my bookshelf.
