I'm glad I chose this product.I bought a used surface to do some light work and was dismayed at the prices of the "official" keyboards I saw at retailers like Best Buy. It seemed like off-brand keyboards were also a bit over my (admittedly frugal) expected price point. Thankfully, I was able to pick this up on sale for ~$25, and it has exceeded expectations.- Input lag for typing is low and I've experienced no problems at my 95-110 typical typing pace.- Trackpad has a small delay, which was both expected and is low enough to be a non-issue.- USB-C charging port means that my SP7, stylus, keyboard and phone all have the same type of charger, which can be rotated between the devices as needed (which isnt often, but knowing a single, easily replaceable cable is all that is necessary to run my setup is a delight)- Every once in a while I charge the keyboard for a few minutes on a bathroom break, and it's yet to die in over a week's worth of use. I've never lost power or had as much as a low battery warning.- Bluetooth was easy to connect initially, and I havent had any kind of connectivity issues experienced in other reviews.- The magnets that hold the keyboard up slightly for a better typing angle are quite strong. I need to press down on the keyboard enough to flex the whole thing to get it to separate, which will simply never happen naturally.- Simple backlight with multiple colors/intensities for you night owls.

I bought a Microsoft Surface keyboard from Microsoft when I bought my first Surface (6). Now I have a Surface 7 and continued to use the old keyboard without issue. Unfortunately, the keyboard is now fraying at the ends. I decided to buy a new, less expensive keyboard, and a cover for my surface. The Qulose has very high ratings, albeit limited, so let me be the first one-star rating. The keyboard is beautifully designed. The sturdiness is welcomed, the choice of color backlit is fantastic, and it looks like it should work normally. It doesn't. The keyboard has many ghost touches. I am reviewing a dissertation that's 168 pages, after a couple of pages of ghost touches and the save-as prompt populating when hitting the PgDn button, I switched back to my usual keyboard.After a few days, I decided to try the keyboard again. Initially, when I used this keyboard, I thought the keyboard was slow or unable to turn on because I tried to turn it on 'out of the box' without charging it. This time, I realized, the keyboard is just very slow to turn on. It was charged fully (approximately 10ish hours) but it still would not turn on despite me pushing the "power on" button for about 10 seconds. I pressed it quickly to see if that would work...nope. Several pressings later, the keyboard finally lit up. The Microsoft Surface automatically works, with no power button, also, it doesn't need to be charged. While, this can be a minor inconvenience, to me, it was annoying, because the power button seems unresponsive.Now onto the dissertation again, the same issues occurred, but now, instead of only dealing with ghost touches that cause random page jumping, it also would trigger the Surface touch keyboard to populate. Now, half the screen is blocked by the keyboard that shouldn't have populated because I am using a physical keyboard. Next observation, the keyboard goes to sleep. When it does, the PgDn button triggers the save as button. After a couple of pages of this, I requested a return.Ultimately, for a paper, this keyboard is terrible. Typing a comment, only to end up typing in a paragraph a few pages earlier/later, is a waste of my time to fix continuously. Deleting a word, only to end up deleting a different word and at one time an entire paragraph, is a grave functionality issue. Also, sleep shouldn't mean, being dysfunctional when awakened. The power button should be more responsive (About 3 seconds to start). This keyboard needs to be recalibrated and fixed for use by the public. Currently, it is subpar. It's not enough to look pretty.

This is a perfect alternative to the Microsoft keyboard for me when using my Microsoft Surface Pro 6. It's lightweight, has a trackpad, much more affordable than the Microsoft one. The magnetic attachment is just as easy.My only quip is that there's a singular power button on the keyboard. If you're a digital notetaker, you might want to flip back and forth really often, and the keyboard won't recognize when it's in the "back" position. So I have to hold down power to turn it off (not a problem if you're fine detaching it and placing it aside). Would love a toggle switch for power, to make this seamless.

When my original keyboard broke I found it difficult to write my school assignments. Can you imagine what a time that was. With this keyboard I am able to perform to the standards my teachers demand of me. Maybe you are in a similar position. This keyboard has worked for at least six months now so, it will get you through whatever it is you need it for, most likely.Other Qualities:-It WORKS!! 😀-It is SIMPLE. NAVIGATE THE CONTROLS WITHOUT READING A MANUAL!!! You’ll be amazed at how much you don’t need instructions!-It has ALL THE LETTERS of the ENGLISH ALPHABET at your disposal-IT HAS BLUETOOTH WOW!!- noooooooo lag!-comes in black! Very stylish!

Had this keyboard for 6 months. It was working just fine, but now the TouchPad just randomly stopped working and nothing I've tried fixes it. Ugh!
