Wood Carving Knife Set, 12 Pcs Carving Tools for DIY Sculpture Beginners

We use these in middle and high school art classes. Our students look forward to making stamps (relief carvings) each year. I've gone through a lot of different kinds of tools and this set seems the best to use on the rubber. They cut smoother and our students seem to get less knicks on their fingers. I now have several sets of these and have trashed every other kind that we had. Well worth it!

I have used these about 3 times to carve on small blocks 2x2 and 4x6. So not a ton of carving but they are already so dull that they really do not slide through the easy cut blocks like they should and even are so dull they are not safe because of slippage.Am now looking into sharpening sets but will invest in higher quality carving tools sooner than planned.Additionally, I thought this would have a wider variety of curved or v sizes than my other set. The widest variety is really in the different straight edges which I didn’t feel was of much benefit to me.

When I see in the second example picture the guy is carving a wooden frog that is not only sanded down and polished but also is already wood stained which you would never do before chiseling. Atleast photoshop a actual worked on project and not a random wooden frog
